Cycling and F1 don’t mix, ask Mark Webber.

It’s the beginning of F1 2021! McLaren-Mercedes is back  I’m amazed with the number of partner & sponsors they have! McLaren has truly turn around things. Remember the time when they were also struggling administratively a couple of years back. Marketing prowess and superb financial backing are also key factors to their success. This reminds me how Ferrari has survived by selling road cars to financed his racing team back in the olden days ::book::

True, although it does look like a lot of little sponsors. "A Better Tomorrow" is of those weird Tobacco company brands that is tasked with "reducing the health impact of our business through offering a greater choice of enjoyable and less risky products". OK. This is BAT money by another name.

The car is very similar to last year, which I guess is no surprise given the rules were frozen for 2021. Interesting factoid: No Mercedes logos on the car.

I agree with you DC. Alot of minor sponsors I guess. Probably more enticing packages from a sponsorship standpoint. A Better Tomorrow is pretty similar to Ferrari’s Mission Winnow. Tobacco money. Good point on Mercedes logo ::confused2:: Williams have been in Mercedes power for quite sometime now, but hasn’t really converted to good points. Racing Point / AMR has done a trenendous work (copying) and did good :p:D I hope McLaren stays in the top three!

Telling that the car doesn't get a true "new" designation- it's the MCL35M, while last year's car was the MCL35

Remember when a rear wing was just a plank on legs* stuck on the back, cars may be faster and stick to the road but aero has screwed up overtaking.

    * slight over simplification. Front wings same idea.

Same first thing came into my mind :D LOL

He’s short, looks tame and innocent but can be a ruthless killer in the track :p (added lighweight is a plus )

I was curious about his height and looked it up. Yuki Tsunoda is tiny; his height is 1.59m (5ft 2in) and weight is 54kg (119 lbs).

But he's got the same first name as our good friend @Snowy, so that's a definite positive!
(Incidentally, for those who don't know Japanese, Yuki means Snow.)

Yuki Tsunoda has been backed by Honda since 2017. F4 to F3 to F2 and now to F1 in 4 years. ;) It would be a dream for Honda to see him win a Formula 1 grand prix powered by a Japanese engine.

Oh wow! Now I know why sir @Snowy is so C:cool::cool:L as snow :thumbsup:

Next to SMQ, he’s probably my “King of Cool” or probably “Prince of Cool”
