😁 I feel poor when I see the @Snowy Modular 45 collection with the all three mechanical modules, including the Heuer 02 Tourbillon 🙄 👍

Wow...

Mark3 will be the Mark of Low sales 😀

Perhaps it will not be popular within TAG community, but that's not the goal here I guess. It has to reach out to mass market, at least, luxury segment of it. And so far, for example, Garmin is doing much much better. I'm just waiting to see the 3rd series and if it's not going to be, let's say perfect, like 1st and 2nd, than MARQ is a no brainer for me.

And by they way, 15000 is really poor record, 50,000 is not much better either. The truth is that it's actually not a success. You would have to look at this from the outside. I dont like Calibre 5, nor 16 and I never wanted to buy them. This perk is for big TAG fans, but others like me dont see it that way. The majority of people out there, at best, have just one luxury watch for decades.

Finally, I still can't understand why do I have to install clunky watchmaker to get tag faces? This is how they should promote the brand and encourage people to buy other watches. Ok, if you want to sell these faces - fine, but it is your brand, why you dont want to capitalise on it? It's just beyond me really.

Because TAG don't want to degrade the mechanical side of the brand.

They have already done it in the 80's and 90's with electronics and cheap plastic watches swatch style. They start doing something and then abandon the idea which makes them inconsistent and not trustworthy.

Anyway, they already have faces in the app and if they are not willing to do that, others are like watchmaker making the whole experience worse and not professional again like 25 years ago. Nothing learned.

I don’t see the problem with the WatchMaker app, and I enjoy my Modular 45 much more since I installed it 👍

Yes, the TH Connected has some Carrera faces installed from factory, but in dimmed mode they look awful, just skeleton b&w 🤔... With WatchMaker you can enjoy many more different and additional TH faces in the TH Connected, for free, some of them very professionally made (see the attached pictures) and even better than the factory installed faces, and with a full color and fully detailed dimmed mode. So WatchMaker makes me the whole experience much better 😉

And they have worked hard to get back from the days of quartz and plastic F1s.

I suspect their logic is people who have spent $1000s in mechanical watches would feel their purchase had been cheapened if you could press a button on a smart watch and have something that looks the same.

Personally I'm not a fan of the tag smartwatches, the modular concept is fantastic, but otherwise it's just a very expensive Android smart watch with terrible battery life. Tag had the opportunity to move the game on, solve some of the issues with smart watches, but instead just charged $1500 for something Samsung and Huawei sell for $250

Without WM Cm45 would be boring

Compare that to a fenix, about a week of normal wear. Longer if you get the solar model (an example of the sort of innovation that tag should have been thinking about when they launched the connected, something that solves an issue with today's smart watches and moves the game on).

After last Wear OS updates (specially since System H update), battery life of my CM45 improved a lot. I use high consumption settings (WatchMaker faces with fully detailed dimmed mode, screen always on, Max OPR in bright mode 70%, Max OPR when dimmed 60%...), and even with these settings, battery life is usually around 20-23h (or even more, like in the attached picture, depending on the WM face), so it’s more than enough for my working day (I arrive home with around 50% of battery).

As I charge my smartphone everyday, I have no problem at all to also charge my smartwatch everyday. For me its battery life is not terrible at all. I’m happy with it. With lower consumption settings and using the factory installed faces it also could stay several days without charging it, but for me it’s more important to always see a nice face on the screen. Before System H update was not so easy to last all day, but now is more than enough

Same to me. I got 40h with a simple face. And ... my phone is ringing every day like hell... and watch is displaying call every time. So... its ok. In 2017 was indeed bad but improved alot

The watch is awesome, much nicer than the current Connected.
More elegant, sleeker, thinner, better screen, sharper, brighter, more battery, faster processor, heart rate monitor.
Maybe... but it’s not Modular :whipped: and it’s also more expensive than current Connected

The model I bought is stainless steel with black rubber strap, price 1.700 €.

get ready for Thursday and save money. You will want one.

No, I will not want one because it’s not Modular, so I’m fine with my current Modular 45 collection. I’m iPhone user and it’s only possible to connect one smartwatch with the Wear OS app, so upgrading/connecting the 3rd gen Connected would mean that I can’t use my current Modular 45 with all the accessories. I would buy the 3rd Connected if it were compatible with current Modular system, but it’s not

About the price, I paid the same 1700€ in May 2018 for a titanium Modular 45 (not stainless steel) with black ceramic bezel and brown leather (not rubber) strap, so -even with the loss of modularity- it’s quite more expensive than 2nd gen... 😲

Anyway congratulations for your purchase, and please post pictures next Friday! 👍

No TAG Heuer Studio? This is a strange development. I can see why they cancelled modularity, whether I like it or not, but no TAG Heuer Studio? Why? I can imagine it being added again with future update.

So I guess none of you are concerned of disclosing the details, given that you signed NDAs, right?
Did you see details, specs or photos in my post?
I just gave a rough description and expressed my opinion with adjectives, I didn't disclose the details.

Life is more expensive than in 2017.
I paid 1650 € for the titanium with black rubber strap in March 2017, and 3 years later the stainless steel model is 3% more expensive.
That's acceptable in my opinion.
It's a TAG Heuer with the latest technology.
The Formula 1 is quartz and costs 1500 €, that's expensive.
