Not everything is measured with money.
What's the price of having the latest model, using a watch for the first time, or enjoying an improved model from now on?
The price of pleasure, invaluable.
This was your answer and justification when we were talking about the price increase for the Gen3 vs the Gen2 Modular: a 21% higher price (not a 3%), in just two months.
And, of course, I can understand your subjective reasons to buy the Gen3 at this higher price, but I don’t understand that just two posts later you are asking us to be objective
😲 :
A fair comparison would take into account all the improvements of Gen 3 over Gen 2 (screen resolution, processor speed, battery, heart rate monitor, health & fit functions, etc.), not only the cons.
You don't need to justify why you won't buy it, but
it's good to be fair and objective.
Because you were not very objective talking about the price increase!
😁 😉 😉
Seriously: we were objectively talking about the already known details to compare Gen3 vs Gen2 Modular: stainless steel vs titanium, non modular, no system or program to make it future proof (there’s no more “Connected to Eternity” motto as it was with Gen1 and Gen2 Modular), 21% more expensive, much less strap options... and all these details are -objectively- steps backwards vs the Gen2 Modular.
Obviously the Gen3 is supposed to have improvements in its smartwatch functions being three years younger, because hardware of these devices is in constant evolution (more performances at lower/equal price... although it’s not the case here), but as the technical specs are still not officially available, we were talking about the already known details, and it seems these details are not seducing some of us to move from Gen2 Modular to Gen3... mainly iPhone users because we can’t connect a second smartwatch to the Wear OS app
This makes me ask: why did TH send a survey to the current TH Connected owners so late, when Gen3 was already designed? TH management says Gen2 Modular was a big success for them, so why were they not trying to also sell the Gen3 to the 50.000 current Gen2 Modular owners?
😕
Just a question
@Ninja1400 : do you own the Gen1 or the Gen2 Modular?
