I’ve read though this thread and calibrated the battery. I just receive my gen 3 connected watch and on day three and just concerned how quickly the battery % drops in the first hour. 8 to 10% I have it set to always on. Should this be turned off in order to get a full day? I’ve also heard the battery will get better over time. Any advice.

Hello, I've got Modular connected 45 second generation of Tag Heuer Smart watches. I have managed get run my watch over 60 hours on the standby. Normal usage 43 hours.

My personal recommended settings are

Always on the screen-ON
Wrist till wake up - OFF
Touch to wake- ON
Location GPS - OFF
NFC payments -OFF

Your watch comes with heart monitor. I never had a this watch in my hands an I don't know if you can turn it off. That will definitely extend battery life. A lot of people selling 3rd generations watches cause they are very disappointed with with quality and battery.
Good luck to you.

Thanks. I think the build quality of the watch is really good! I haven’t heard of many people selling there Gen 3 and honestly not concerned with that, just trying to maximize the battery.

I just checked my wear OS ver. and it 2.19...I’m thinking it needs to be updated. What’s the latest version?

SG1982, I have in my Gen 3 ( since April) all always on ( NFC, pulse, gps, wifi,...). Charged every day at 21:00, airplane mode at the night until the 7:00. All the day with many notifications of telegram, whatsapp, gmail,.., and 3-4 days with runs of 60-90’ ( gps on). The battery remains with 30-40%.
I only adviced that the automatic controls of music drain battery. I deactivated because I use the Airpods to control the music.
I calibrated the battery when I bought it, I waited until the watch goes off because the screen in saved mode lasts many hours.
I hope you can read this post and don’t be deleted , I always wrote in this forum with Respect and Education.

Hi all my first post and it’s a said one
had my 2020 since April and it’s worked like a dream giving me 20hrs + battery life with my iPhone X.
I swapped to an iPhone 12 last Thursday and i have had sever battery drain ever since. It won’t even last 4hrs.
I have tried all the battery conditioning tips, posted on Facebook group and even contacted google. Factory reset 6 times and also deleted the app twice and re set up. Nothing works.
I am convinced it’s a software issue as I now have a the following battery usage issue with this new miscellaneous Battery use issue since the phone change and I can not find any way to shut things off that could be causing it

I am so frustrated by this as i have had zero issue up until now.

If anyone can help with suggestions or is having similar issues it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks Demian

Hi Demian,

I have not had this issue when I moved from the IPhone 11 to the IPhone 12 Pro, but it was an issue I had with the Gen 2 Connected from time to time. Factory reset did it for me then, but it did not work for you now. No clue on what else you could do other than uninstalling apps to see if battery consumption improve.

My Connected 2020 no issues when I moved from the iPhone X to a 12 Pro Max. I restored from the copy of iCloud and works fine.
Did you configure the new iPhone like new or from copy?

Yes, iCloud of Apple. I charged the copy of the iPhone X with the apps saved: Tag Heuer and Wear Os and I didn't have to sync the clock again. Loaded all the data I had from the old phone.

Ok so I have tried as many things as possible to resolve issues and have come to the conclusion that it’s simply faulty. During the factory rest when I changed my phone it simply must have failed.

If the app is correct something is running with ultra heavy battery usage and it won’t stop running in the background, no way to turn it of and even if you totally discharge the battery it still won’t stop running.

I will pop it in to the jewellers and get a warranty claim started.

Hi, does anyone know if Tag have stopped supporting the tag heuer connected gen 1 with wear OS updates, mine seems to be way behind my gen 2 version in release numbers. Last year they matched 1 for 1

Maybe you could ask @connected1976 about which Wear OS version is running his Gen1, because he is using it very often
