I was told by customer service to never remove the wear os or tag app from the background. The only thing I sometimes notice is that when you go into the tag app it sometimes shows DISCONNECTED but seconds later it shows connected again.

When I finish a workout the watch takes a long time to sync to the TAG app. For example I finished my Run 1 hour ago and the App says (currently synchronising...14%) and the Wear OS & TAG APP are both connected.

Not very reliable whether CONNECTED or NOT.......When this happens and its many times, I need to remove the TAG app from the background and open the App again for it to complete the Sync.

I love the look of this TAG Watch but Definitely miss how well the Apple Watch worked in almost every way

Notifications work perfect even though I use an iPhone, it’s only Sport sessions that take a while to synch to the TAG Sports App on the iPhone. If we ever get an Update hopefully it fixes the problem.

I don’t use Google fit workout so maybe that works better for synching with an iPhone ?

My new Samsung x TAG Heuer

I've ordered mine too.
Won't be here till 20th August in Australia.
What are your thoughts on this watch?
Would love to hear your opinion compared to Connected 3.
Cheers

Hardware wise it is a tie. The tag is nice, but samsung really upper their game with this new case. Sure the bottom half is plastic, whereas the tag is metal. Although samsung makes up for that with way more features like ECG, blood pressure, oxygen, etc.

The AOD is light years ahead, and has better battery life with a battery thats 100mah smaller. Just better supported by Samsung than wear os is with google.

For half of the price of the tag, I was able to buy the black and silver in 45mm.

What do you mean by "The AOD is light years ahead".
Do you mean only brightness or there are some additional features in AOD mode?

Brightness way way brighter, active seconds on all or most faces, and the resolution does not get downgraded or chopped up to save battery.

Hmm...3rd gen brightness is very less.
I wish watchmaker provide us a way to design active seconds on.

Hi everyone,

Was just wondering if anyone with the stainless steel case & bracelet have seen scratches where the bracelet touches the case?

The bottom side of my connected has a very noticeable line scratch which is exactly same size as the inner links on the bracelet.

It's only noticeable when using rubber strap, but still think it's poor for an expensive watch.

Same goes for ex breitling too, so not only for this one.

Good day!
I tried to read as much as possible but can't find the answer to my question. I'm a happy new owner of the GEN 3 and wonder how to set up a wake up alarm while sleeping with the watch charging? I just can't wake up from the small vibrations the watch is making on the night table!
I understand the main concept of a non intrusive device supporting your phone but... maybe some of you find a simple trick on how to wake up through the watch only. Thanks

I tried the same and didn’t find a option. I don’t like to leave the watch charging all the night ( problems with screen burn in my Connected 45) and now set up a alarm and sleep with watch on.

Can any owners of the gen3 black titanium advise on how durable the black dlc coating is?

I've read that it's meant to be highly scratch resistant, but looking for some first hand experiences.

I'd guess a scratch on a black case would look really obvious & spoil look of watch.

Did you try the 'stay lit' app?

Here how my watch looks like after 2 months. I wear my watch daily do all sports (crossfit, golf, swimming) with it. Do not take any special care!

TAG Connected 3rd Gen. VS Apple Watch 5 ** Golf Comparison**

Thought I would do a side by side (not so scientific) comparison of these 2 watches being used on the golf course. As I just golfed 4 days in a row on my home course alternating watches each day.

Below are the Category Winners; (on the Connected I was using the TAG Golf app, and the Apple Watch I was using Hole 19 Golf app)

GPS Accuracy - TIE
Battery Life - Apple Watch 5
Comfort - TIE
Style - TAG Connected 3rd Gen
# of times another golfer said “F&%K that is cool, what is it - TAG Connected 3rd Gen (a landslide victory here, 15 – 0)

Bottom line is the Connected wins hands down because it is a TAG and I am a TAG guy, both worked well enough for someone of my skill on the course…….

Are you finding the Tag battery life is good enough for 18 holes (4-5 hours)?

Yes .... using the gps in phone is better for battery life... and playing in morning helps also.... if I tee off at 8 am watch is at about 20% when round is over... if I wear watch all day then start around in the afternoon the battery is around 10 - 15 % after round

Anyone have a pic of the 2020 Tag connected with silver bezel with the stainless bracelet? Can’t decide if I want the black bezel or the silver bezel. Would like to see it with the stainless bracelet as I plan to have stainless bracelet and black rubber strap with either. Just no pics of the silver on silver combo.
