This is not the case, mine is working perfectly with watchmaker from day one without any lags or hanging problem.
In watchmaker app, I choose " Wear OS smartwatch" in WATCH selection and not any version of Tag Heuer connected.

The watchmaker was working fine with 2nd gen and also working perfectly with the 3rd generation. Even with the 3rd generation, I am getting good battery life with watchmaker AOD ON compared to 2nd gen. It's last for more than 2 days 馃榾

I'm the same as you..
I don't have a problem with my Gen 3.
Not sure why others are having Issues.

We must just be lucky.

Or others might have missed on some settings...

Please download the watchface of the new Formula 1 and tell me what happens when you swipe down or up.

Can you do the same test?
The watchface makes the difference, with some of them it works fine, with others (like the Formula 1) it stutters when swiping.

Pls provide me the link to download this face and will test.
Also, if there are few faces which hangs then the issue must in those watchfaces

It鈥檚 not an issue from the watch faces. There are more demanding watch faces with the watch than others, but the point is that a slightly demanding watch face that Gen2 runs without problem, slows down Gen3 even after last update of the WatchMaker app, eventually adapted for Gen3

Hence it seems that Gen3 is not more powerful than Gen2 as in theory it should be, because Gen3 is able to run well just the less demanding WM watch faces, while Gen2 can run well more demanding watch faces... it seems the Intel Atom Z34XX from the Gen2 is beating the Snapdragon 3100 from the Gen3

I'm thinking that's the issue, I think faces with many layers slows down the watch

But why are they only slowing Gen3 and not Gen2?

Snapdragon 3100 is better then Atom Processor but this is not the topic to discuss. Gen 3 has more RAM than Gen 2 and it should handle the faces and other complication easily. There must be some issue with settings.

Did you try changing the Watch name to "wear Os smartwatch" in watch selection maybe its the culprit

I am using this watchface from last 1 hour and it is working perfectly fine.
When you swipe up, down, right and left is it perfectly smooth?
Can you share a short video?

I have checked this watch face also and can report the exact same results as Taher.
No stuttering or lagging at all.

Also I am using Android phone (Samsung note 10 plus).
So it may be the iphone issue with Watchmaker app.

@Anthony.R and @TaherLaddu : some Gen3 owners reported that their watch was slowed down (scrolling up/down, left/right) when wearing this WM watch face:

This is a video of my Gen2 M45 wearing this same WM face, and showing normal scrolling speed as with the factory installed watch faces:
Is your Gen3 having same Gen2 scrolling speed when wearing this WM face?

No, because there are also Gen3 owners using Android phones reporting this problem with the slightly demanding WatchMaker watch faces
