Trying to find more information regarding the Tag Heuer app for Gen 3. I'm using the Android version and the Tag Sports logo has a red dot over it. Anyone know what that means? Also how often can you expect the heart rate to update. Mine seems to be very inconsistent.

My heart rate is the same. Can go from 11am to 6pm without any reading. Seems to only take automatic reading when I'm at rest. I know that Samsung and Garmin can be set to read continuously all day.

Now to finish set-up and get ready for tomorrow’s round 😎
The new "Summer" bands are finally available to order on the web site.

EDIT: spoke too soon. The yellow is available. All others remain out of stock.

Got mine today in the boutique

So I caved and got the Gen 3 (titanium) and it just arrived. I couldn't find anywhere here to view the titanium model before purchase, so I knew there was a risk. I mainly got the titanium for weight - I want an alternative to my Apple Watch for when I travel (so I can have a single watch that looks dressier but also practical for workouts). First 15 minute impressions:
1. Looks (and feels) cheap. Seriously cheap. Maybe part of that is the weight. Looks cheaper than the silver one.
2. I forgot how much of a dog Wear OS was to get the watch to pair with an iPhone in the first place. Finally got it on my 6th attempt (had to factory rest the watch and restart the phone).
3. You can only have one watch connected to WearOS at a given time, which SUCKS. That means I have to re-pair my BEAUTIFUL Gen 2 when I want to wear it (I also carry a pack of needles to poke in my eyes because apparently I love pain).
4. Came without a protective film on the glass and only a small piece of film on the buckle. Not happy about that at all. Wondering if this was returned to the seller or was a display model. Emailed them to ask.
5. I like and hate the the "case" it came in. I can definitely use this as a travel case, but again it takes away from the "premium" experience. Also feels cheap to me.
6. Marginally dressier than my Apple Watch. Maybe the release of a black titanium band will help? Has anyone tried to fit a third-party band to this watch yet?

“Week On The Wrist”

After owning and wearing the new “Golf Edition” for just shy of a full week now… I have to say I love it!!

It looks amazing with either the white golf strap or the black rubber. It is very comfortable, and I have had many comments on it…. It is leaps and bounds better than my Gen1 was. It is a little quirky connecting with iPhone, but over all works great, battery life for me is just fine, as I am one of those guys that charges it every night (same as my phone) so 100% when I put it on in the morning and still working when I put it on charger at night. The Golf app works well, I am not a pro (or even above average) golfer so it is good enough for my needs, and I am the envy of other players on the course (which is a bonus). Compared to my Apple Watch, it easily beats it hands down, on looks alone and usability…. Sure, there are things you can’t do (google pay for one won’t work, through iPhone (here in Canada anyway)) but I can connect it and get notifications etc.….

I am completely satisfied and will recommend it to anyone….

Can't really complain about apple compatibility, it's an Android product. Apple watch won't even work on Android. Can you post some pictures for us? I think your the first person to get the titanium. The steel does not feel cheap, even in the slightest bit.

I have the same comment as Tag guy. I had the Gen 2 connected and used it extensively but was, at the time on iPhone and it was truly wonky. All sorts of problems and especially so using Watchmaker. I have the Gen 3 now and am using a Samsung with the most up to date operating system and it is basically flawless. Works well with Watchmaker (haven't found a face that doesn't work OK yet....which seems different from some on this site). Also the comment about the watch feeling somehow "cheap". Like all titanium watches it is very light so if you are used to a massive stainless steel with then it is no surprise you would not even notice this on your wrist. I have a number of stainless steel watches and trade-off back and forth with the Gen 3. It is definitely much lighter but after a while that doesn't bother me much. A titanium bracelet would be good to try if they ever come out with one.

I am in Canada and google pay works flawlessly. In fact gen2 worked but NFC chip was shit and failed all the time. The Gen3 chip is awesome and works 100% of the time even when not stupid close to the reader. All major banks support google pay and I have iPhone. You just have to call the bank to activate it

Just do it all from the watch which will prompt to open Wear app on iPhone. Fill it all in and it will attempt to activate. It will require you to call Royal Bank vs activate online. I had RBC and now Scotia and works for both debit and visa. Good luck

So after a few days of road testing all the faces produced by the people of this forum on my Galaxy Watch, i ordered my gen 3 last night and it arrived this morning.

Loving it so far.

Does anyone have any tips regarding battery life? It doesn't seem great, although I guess i played a lot with it today.
Here is the watch alongside my carerra and I'd say anyone who thinks the gen 3 has lost its carerra roots should look at this as its very true to my CV2015.

Can you do me a favor and see if the metal bracelet from the gen 3 will sit flush on the mechanical?
