2020 TAG Heuer Connected (E3) - Discussions Thread

Hi all

I’m looking to get the TAG Heuer connected 2020 to replace my Apple Watch. One of the key reasons I use a smart watch is to track my daily activity - calories, exercise duration etc.

I use zwift to cycle and once I complete a ride strava automatically pushes the calories burned etc to my Apple Watch. Can anyone confirm if strava can push activity to the tag Heuer connected? The activity won’t actually be recorded using the tag watch.

thanks for the response. On reading the link this is about recording activities with strava on the tag watch.

If you are asking if Strava activity will show in the TAG sports app, I would think definitely not. The app is very polished but super limited in features.

thanks for responding. That’ll be a blow. One of the main reasons I use a smart watch is my fitness tracking.

And connecting strava to google fit?
I was using a Garmin Fenix to run and now use the Tag 3Gen. Very happy, after 2 weeks of test with both watch , the statistics are similar by km.

Hey: so can activity from strava push to google fit? Google fit would replicate what the Apple health/activity does? Ie. I record a ride in zwift using my Apple TV, this data then auto pushes to strava which in turn then pushes the data to google fit?

Yes, ( if you use iOS), first you need to connect strava to Apple Health ( choose the option send to Health). Then you can in the App Google Fit connect this App with Health

Try this: go to Wear OS app in the phone - Settings - Disconnect from Tag Heuer - Connect to Tag Heuer.
Sometimes it works.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ve made some progress after a full reset and deleting and reinstalling the various apps. The watch and iPhone do seem to often disconnect, meaning I need to go back into Google Wear IOS and reconnect via Bluetooth so all very frustrating.

Also frustrating that the TH UK Customer Service Line seems to be closed, asked to email and to date, 48 hours on and I’ve no response to my email to their customer service dept.

Since we're on the topic, just got an email that the Artifex stands are now for sale. I really like this new design, and with the fancy USB cable is say it's quite the bargain.

Talking about charging stands... this is my favorite design up to now, and very specific for a TAG Heuer smartwatch. I asked Artifex, and they are going to make it also for Gen2 M45, so I’m just waiting for it 😉

@Ninja1400 did you buy it from the Artifex webpage, or through their ebay account?
Any additional cost because of the Spanish customs? 😒

Yes, they are going to make it also for Gen2 Modular 45. They told me that it should be available in one or two weeks 👍

Directly from their webpage and no cost of customs, I was lucky.

I also received my Stand yesterday here in Australia.
Waited 1 month for it to arrive.
It was worth the wait and I'm super happy with it.
Gen 3 Aluminium Model.

Hi all,

I have some questions to the people who are using this fantastic Watch.

The question is , ¿ Is it worth to buy a second hand Gen2 ? ( Don´t try to convince me about Gen3, I have my thoughts about it ;-) ).

I am planning to buy a 41mm second hand Gen2 but here are my worries.

1. How long will it last ? , it is an investment and at least I want to have it for two or three years. Is Tag going to be still updating this old model, will still the battery be enough for one day 20 hours more or less ?

2. I am a bit puzzled about the second hand market , I only see people selling without warranty , just finished or with only one month left so they have been using the TAG for two years already. Why are they selling with just the warranty ended ?, it is a bit shocking, I dont understand why.

hi,

i am also looking for a stand for my connected 3 (2020), anyone have an fitting STL, since i have 3d printer myself? i only found models (STLs) for the modular 41 and 45. otherwise i need to design something myself.

I don't know anything about 3D Printer.. But i did come across this.
