The first one to find a 22mm rounded black rubber strap, please let me know.

FT6033. It is the strap from the Carrera McLaren 1974 Edition. Rubber with a tyre tread look.

New as in it's the newest wearOS chip, I know it's quite outdated, was kinda outdated at launch. Your right in all points and it is a shame. Although the gen 3 is noticably faster in processing than the 45. I love my gen 3, but everytime I see the 45 sitting on my desk, awaiting to be sold, I get a bit sad inside 鈽癸笍
Yes, I hope that the article at Calibre11.com covered this chip question correctly. I did do some research on this, and it seems as though the 3100 is a minor update to the previous 2100 from 2016- the main difference being that the 3100 has in essence a "co-processor" added to the same main processor as the 2100. This allows low power mode and ambient display- both of these improve battery life.

To all lucky early adopters; So, now after a few days of usage, what do you think about the new Connected? And how does it compare to the previous model? I'm curious to know your opinion.

Way better battery life, almost 30 hours with AOD and heart rate tracking

Now straps can easily change with any 22mm, don't miss the modular part too much

Pushers and rotating crown are awesome

Still wish it was titanium and swiss made

Love the new charger, but missed my Charing stand, so just ordered one for the new watch from Artifex Design

Still waiting for tag to release more straps

Ok, from all these things rotating crown and heart rate monitor are interesting to me. I never had issues with battery life with my Connected Modular 45. Maybe one thing that helps is that from what I gathered from some articles in the past, battery life is better when the watch is tethered to an Android rather than iPhone.
Thank you!

Cant say Ive found the battery any better at all - in fact worse but probably because Ive been playing with it and have had the always on watch face. My 45 lasted easily all day and a bit more. However I must say this watch feels so superior to me anyway. Its not as clunky as its more round and seems to be slimmer. It fits my wrist better, so from the viewpoint of a female Its much more classy. It also seems to be more responsive all around. The screen is fab -noticeably clearer and brighter than the 45. The sports app is very accurate, so too the heart rate monitor. Im really happy.

Idk how long you have had your new watch, but battery life will get better day by day. Give it a week or 2 and see what happens. I'm currently at 68 percent and the app says 22 hours left. If only it had sleep tracking

In my opinion, much better than the Modular 45 for 6 reasons:

- Ergonomics: slimmer, less bulky and fits the wrist better.
- Screen: sharper and brighter.
- Pushers: great design and shortcut to desired functions.
- Software: faster, more smooth and responsive.
- Beautiful glossy ceramic bezel.
- Sports app with heart rate monitor.

I can't make a comparison from M45 as this is my first Connected.
I come from a Samsung Galaxy Watch which I was really happy with.
For me it's been 3 days now with Tag and battery has been better each day.
Off charger at 6.20am each day Friday back on charger at 11.30pm with 18%.
Saturday night back on charger at 11.15pm with 33%.

Love the feel on my wrist. Strap is comfy. Watch face identical size to Samsung.
Being new to Tag I'm not totally familiar with how to get Watch Maker working for me but I'm sure i will work it out soon. So I've just left pre loaded faces as what I'm using.

I'm using heart rate monitoring constantly on.
Aod display is great and very bright when in "sleep mode".
Only thing so far I'm not crazy about is the charging situation. Not keen on just putting the watch down on its side with the disc.
Would be nice to have it on a stand or be able to lay flat for charging. But i understand it's not possible because of the band. Something I will change like Tag Guy and remove the bar.

All in all I'm so happy with my purchase. I did consider a M45 going back 6 months ago but glad I waited for this one.

Cheers Anthony

Got your message but figured I'd post here in case anyone else had the same question.
The stand that I currently have is below

I love it and has made charging so much easier. I got it from www.artifexdesign3d.com. they don't have a listing for the new watch, but I messaged them and they set me up for the gen 3, which will be shipping next week!

I guess you told them that the charging base is smaller and the connector is in a different position, right?
In that case, I will also order one. Thanks for the hint.
