It's there to indicate that the watch is running, my guess. Not everybody is ok with just the sound of the movement, e.g. think of all the +70 fans 馃槈!
Ok I may not be 70+ but with both ears being digitally enhanced I can hear all the clocks in the house without being too near them, and some of my watches ticking, apparently quality like TH are silent though.

I like it. It's a good compromise, I'm not keen on watches without running seconds. My Searacer is sans second hand and I don't care for it!

I wonder if there will be a future Heuer 02 re-edition of the 3 register Monaco's of the '70's?
I like this look. 馃榾

Or even better, a 2 register CAW211P successor watch with the Heuer 02 movement with heritage style round pushers (one can hope). 馃槜

Not surprised, although it took longer than I thought.

The poster made it seem like they had it for sale. Which I thought was odd as TH hasn't seemed to have officially released the watch yet. Unless it was a "press" watch, I'm wondering how these places get these watches prior to release?

Yeah the buggers! Before I got a look.

I do struggle to understand how TH still never to get the balance of some of the reissues right when the originals were in most cases so well done. I do believe there are changes going on within TH to stop making so many variations just because someone said they like watch X but wish it had a yellow strap on it when they visited the factory.....let鈥檚 hope that transfers over to some simple reissues without the unnecessary tweaks.

I wish TH would reissue something as genuine as the Sinn Bund dark star.

I agree to a large degree, I would like to see a new re-edition with a large degree of restraint like the CS3111.

Whatever it is, it's on a bracelet!

It was a vintage Siffert Auatavia. And a 1158 next to it 馃憤

Having seen the new Monaco thanks to @Aquagraph and @Yago it does look cool, but not sure really why it needed the seconds counter like that.

Why they let Sinn do the Bund reissue is a real enigma for me. It's like it has been stolen from Heuer a second time, isn't it?
Go here for more detail:

Hard to call it, as we just have one side of the story. Sinn have continued to make military watches and so it is in keeping and not only that have done a better job of a reissue than TH have in quite a few years. I don鈥檛 think TH would have released a Bund without tweaking it, oversizing it and adding unnecessary stuff to it unfortunately. I鈥檓 glad Sinn did it and was just disappointed I didn鈥檛 buy one!
