If the CAW211P isn't good enough for you, why not go for the 40th Anniversary Blue McQueen CAW211A? I believe the shade of blue is ever so slightly lighter, not sure if I'd call it brighter.
Yes, the CAW211A 40th Anniversary is a better quality blue than the CAW211P.

That low huh? My guess is that it might top $100K but not more than $200K.
Maybe it will go between 75K - 150K.

So.... I’m pretty sure the crothswaite collection dark lord went for circa 50,000... I can’t see this going for more then 60,000 but I’m guessing here and have absolutely no real insight into this! My dart at this dartboard would be 50-60k

That's why my original estimate was around those figures. I guess it will all depend on how many high-rollers bid.

It looks fantastic but I just want a bright blue face 🙁

A simple McQueen....

The current Calibre 12 has a brighter face, I think.

My bet is 114k.
That's a good median number. I still think it won't go that high, unless the brand ambassadors are bidding, 🤔

If we are talking USD then I reckon 44K.

CHF 7'000 for the Box and the Travel-box?😲 There must be another watch included? Maybe the CBL2111?

I had the opportunity to see a full box set in NYC yesterday - each of the boxes are numbered xx/50 on the front BUT each of the individual watches also bears the number engraved on the back case as well. It was stylised in italics reading: n:10 there was no /50 just the number. Right in the middle of the case back... interesting to see! Also means you can’t split up a box set to try and sell independently later on without giving the game away. Not that I imagine anyone would but hey... you never know.

If I'm understanding this correctly, the watches do not have the "One of 169" on the case back and instead the matching box set number is in its place, e.g. "5" if the box is labeled 5/50, correct? If so, that makes these box set watches even more rare and unique.

BTW, what was the price in USD for the box set?

Ok so.... the back plate is identical to our ‘normal’ non-box set versions with the exception of an additional inscription being the number. That is to say that none of the other engraving is deleted or changed - at least that I noticed when looking at it. And yep it would say a stylised n:5 on the back case corresponding with a 5/50 on the outside of the box.

I think it was circa 40,000 usd. I remember them saying it was about a 7000 dollar premium over buying 5 separately. It certainly doesn’t look like there’s any additional watches or slots etc for the 1000 LE.

The 1000LE is the last of the Calibre 12s as all futures will be Heuer 02’s. The caw211j has ‘Cal. 12 Final Edition’ engraved across the top of the rear case around the circular sapphire crystal window.

The CBL2111 makes me wonder how long it will be before we see a Heuer 02 powered successor to the CAW211P C11 Blue McQueen. I suspect it could be right around the corner, in 2020 perhaps?

The new Monaco Heuer 02 has an intense deep blue dial. It's officially available now in switzerland, I saw it today in a shop window. It's also on the swiss Tag Heuer Webpage.
Ref. CBL2111.FC6453

It's cool that the Heuer 02 goes in there, isn't it?

What's interesting is on the US TH website it shows the CAW211J, but not the CBL2111. While on the Swiss website, there's the CBL2111, but no CAW211J listed.

US TH website link for "J": https://www.tagheuer.com/en-us/watc...12-automatic-chronograph-39-mm-caw211j-fc6476
