Haven't had a single issue with mine. The other day I'd been running the chronograph all day to have a full 12 hour cycle and forgot about it when I took it off at night. When I picked it up two days later, the chronograph was still running. Impressive

My awesome AD messaged me earlier to say he has put me on the list for the 50th(s). Can’t say too much as to how / how many etc as I assume it’s still offcially embargoed. I’m pretty excited :)

Does this mean you get first refusal when they come in stock? The fact that there is a list sounds like confirmation the number available will be low...

My dealer told me I would get the first phone call for anything they get, no pressure to deal just first refusal, he did say that I would probably know more details from here before he know anything, it will all come down to cost at the end of day.

Not necessarily. AD could just be drumming up trade. Past record for TH LEs seem to suggest numbers higher than demand in some cases. If they go 4 digits then I’m sure there’ll be plenty to go around. Unless they are very high spec double digit limited PM variants. But market for those will be small.

I believe so. From what I know and can say the numbers are apparently not the usual limited volume.

As I recall wasn't there only 50 of those Gulf Monacos? The 'First Victory' ones?

My AD didn't know it existed until after it had already sold out!

I'm getting a feeling of deja vu... I don't think I'll stand a chance of being able to get/afford whatever the 50th anniversary model turns out to be.

The first win Gulf proved unobtainable and the Bamford was more money than I had.

My taste writes cheques my bank account can't cash!

I hope we all get a chance to get one of these anniversary editions. Not too thrilled to have that many variants though, since the better ones will go quickly, if they indeed are as limited as the rumors suggest. And it will be prohibitively expensive to collect them all.

This year is going to be a mightily expensive with so many ‘big’ anniversary releases. Monaco, Speedmaster Apollo 11, the delayed 1948 Seamaster.... spoilt for choice really. Even the ‘basic’ versions of each of those will likely add up to £20k. Go for the ‘bling’ versions (asuming TH joins that club) and I’m guessing enough change from 100 grand buying all 3 to pay for a service or two.

Nevermind that Zenith anniversary as well!

Yes, and the 90s. Should be interesting to see what they think an '80s Monaco would have looked like (assuming that's the idea?)

Yeah that could be the approach. The caption says 'how the watch leaves it's mark on each generation...'

Oh yes, 80s Monaco... I'm thinking a two tone S/EL strap for starters!:)
