I think these two should be swapped. I associate Tetris with the Gameboy of the '90s rather than the '80s. Although VHS tapes were still popular in the '90s, I feel the heyday of VHS was more in the 80s, with DVDs starting to supersede VHS in the later 90s.
I had the same impression, however Tetris was indeed released in 1984, though it was popularized later with the Game Boy in 1989.

I was thinking exactly the same thing!

Nothing to say about the 'frivolous' TAG GIFs Mr Orange?😉

These are official TAG Heuer gifs.

Hmmm not sure what to think....
Thought they were fun , quirky and bloody skillful when I thought @Mspeedster had made them.
Now I know they are official, makes me wonder....
Mind you, that seems to be Tag Heuers marketing direction of the last few years.
Just seems like a lot of mixed messages... are they young and hip- or are they Heritage focused.
A foot in both camps seems to be the strategy..... hmmmm

Loved that movie. The Citizen bullhead on Cliff’s wrist was a nice bonus

That maybe true, but then again VHS was first released in '77. 😵‍💫

I haven't seen the movie, but it's supposed to take place in 1969, so a Monaco 1133 could have been fitting. Albeit just barely period correct.

I read that the version of the Citizen that Cliff is wearing is actually a '72+ model, so perhaps a slight goof on the part of the props department. 🤦

"Unfortunately, this Citizen watch didn’t exist in 1969."

I’m not sure if anyone else is tracking this - but Tag Australia appear to have increased the price baseline on all the Monaco 50’s rom 8600 to 9050. They’ve even retrospectively applied that to the sold out variants... meaning the two I paid 8600 for are now technically 9050 straight from the dealer - a bit rough if you’re waiting on a list for 4 or 5 and you have to pay the extra right?

I wonder about other currencies. ???

that sucks but when you look at the USD appreciation since April it works out exactly correct.

Even still.... I get the economics of it but I can also see how a customer would feel a little raw about it given how hard they were to secure deposits on in the first place and how many people have come to them since on waiting lists...

I think if you have placed a deposit you may have an argument that you went into the transaction at a certain price but in saying that no photos let alone prices have been published yet so you could have be putting a deposit down on a Monaco made of paper for all we know. I was asked for a deposit but then the request wasn’t followed through with so I will be paying the $9050 it seems if I am lucky enough to get one.

That's BS. They were priced with a premium as it was. An extra $450 is a big increase.
