Now that the leaks have spread like wildfire, I can reveal that my top choice is the Y model, corresponding to the first decade of the 2000s.

Interesting choice Hubert, I am curious about the Z model... but so far the W gets my vote.

I love the W. Red watches are a thing for me.

Indeed, I wonder if they will actually be able to fulfil their presales?
I don't think they will. My AD has already taken pre-orders from collectors for all 5...

I was considered that one too, but there is a Bamford variant that I think is far more striking.

Not a fan of V,W,X, Y or Z
I call it a "big" missed opportunity for something great and judging by the Chatter / excitement,
or lack of it, on the forum, I would say a few of us feel the same way.
If I had to choose I'd probably look at V but they are all hard to judge in digital form only.
Not that worried if I don't get to try them on before they all go 😀

I think back to when DC released the Siffert Autavia and the excitement around that.
Can't help think that something is wrong when you release 5 watches and non of them seem to be generating any genuine "I must have" excitement. In saying that, I hope they look much better in the metal and I'm proved wrong.👍

Same. I think it’s bold and aggressive.

Then again the orange prototype Autavia 1163 is my favorite watch of ALL time, so this makes sense.

I think the French Edition is a much better execution.

I think "Z" looks more similar to "B" (the Monaco Grey CAW211B), and I think I like B better than Z but I'll wait for the actual reveal.

W, X, and Z all have colors that appeal to me. However, from what I've seen so far, I'm not really all that excited about any of them. It will be interesting in 10 years to see which of the 5 is deemed as the most collectible. My hunch is it might be V.

I think I like 'X', although would want see better photographs.

That was my second choice.

I think the expectations were so high that they fell pray to their own illustrious history and milestone anniversaries. Also, I think this is a period of transition, where the new leadership is still finding their place and figuring-out where they want to take the company. Especially after the big, bold era of Biver, who I may say, still casts an enormous shadow.

In the end, I'm glad that at least we got 5 options to choose from, with the crown on the left configuration, to pay homage to the original "Calibre 11" / Chronomatic movement.

First 169 are gone. That was pretty fast, wasn't it?
Even if TAG Heuer says on Instagram it was sold out, there's the option right now on the swiss TH Website to put the "69-79" (V) into the basket! Maybe they have some stock per country to offer online?

I also feel it’s a missed opportunity. These are nice watches but not 50 years anniversary kinda nice. I expect only the V will be remembered as the anniversary model. It’s the most ‘special’ one of the bunch. But I had hoped 2019 would be more exciting. 50 years of the Chronomatic and there’s nothing to truly excite the fans, at least so far. No Autavia, Carrera or Monaco lives up to the expectations, which I don’t believe were too high.

Indeed, specifically the hour markers. All of the anniversary models seem to have the standard applied horizontal markers.

I like the horizontal markers much better. But this french edition is very nice. There are some rumours that there will be more iterations of the Monaco this year in LE of 1000 pieces. And I think I saw some images of them not having horizontal markers....

The most 'obvious' thing to do would be a solid gold Monaco, but that wouldn't really sit well with TAG's 'affordable luxury' position, would it?
