Back on topic. What’s the betting on the first reveal? The ‘countdown’ gizmo seems to have disappeared off the TH website? Does that hint at a delay to the release?

That’s right , I have been searching for that Countdown gizzmo too. Strange that it’s been taken away. One other thing, while searching for that, I came across a few watches on the site which had a price next to them but when clicked on were “ out of stock” watches like the 50th win Gulf from last year and the fragment Carrera. Seems a bit odd to keep them on the site if they are sold out , especially as in the case of the 50 piece Gulf that was never really for general sale in a true sense. Just seems weird.
On the subject of weird, has this gold “ Heuer” branded careers been discussed or acknowledged on this forum. Ive never really heard anything about this

Sorry to go off topic a bit again.

Sorry DC I must’ve missed that story, but yes strange about it changing its makeup.
I reckon the website is probably wrong. You’d think if they changed to a GMT then it would have a different reference number

I was a the TAG Heuer boutique at Mall Millenia today. Spoke with a fantastic chap who showed me pics of the forthcoming anniversary edition plus the five individual “through the ages” pieces.

Impressive colours & finishes but sadly no vintage style round pushers so I’m definitely out.

Wait, s there will be a “standard” anniversary edition in addition to the five other Monaco’s? I had completely missed that!

Is there anything you can say regarding the “standard” anniversary edition (without breaking the forum rules, off course)?

Argh, I really want to know what they look like. This teasing is not helping me!

I have the ability to place my deposit for the anniversary edition Monaco. Already got approved for SO. However I hesitated since I also may get Speedmaster with the new 321 movement. I can’t get both. I’m so torn!

Seems like an obvious choice when choosing between Tag or Omega 😉

The anniversary edition they launched today with the 3861 is less than impressive. Will they actually sell 6969 pieces of this +9K watch?

I agree. Not impressed. This being a TAG forum I’ll get back on topic, if the new Monaco has a Cal 02 I’m interested.

What would it need to look like? Do you want a different design? Or would the traditional look of the TAG Heuer blue Monacos work for you?

Sorry meant not impressed on the 50th Omega Speedy. I haven’t seen the Monaco. As far as what I would want cosmetically; round chrono pushers with a vintage inspired bracelet. Possibly in a grey paying homage to the 1133G.

Mechanically a 02 movement. Old on the outside new on the inside

Yes, you were referring to the Omega 50th Moonwatch, but also said that if the Monaco had a Heuer02 movement, you would be interested. Two different ideas, but you answered already my question.

Well the Monaco GP is next weekend so we won’t have to wait to long for some type of release. Maybe they will kick it off with the limited edition piece before the 5 through the ages models. Or show them all and just delay the pre-orders one every month? Who knows, but I’ve got an empty spot on my winder ready to be used 😉

So long as it is a 2 register version though.
