Danny Ric topping the tables in Free Practice 2 on Ultrasoft in Monaco with the new upgraded power unit behind him, though you'd imagine most of his speed comes from the excellent chassis and the fact that he's Australian.

I loved in the interview how they asked him what the breakdown is in the performance advantage, i.e. 33% engine upgrade 33% chassis, 33% driver? and Dan replies "99.9% the driver, 0.1% the rest of that stuff".

The Resultat must be encouraging. Christian Horner announced, that Red Bull is interested to extend the contract
with Renault to 2017. He expects the engine to be branded
as TagHeuer for one more year.

Red Bull have spent an amount of € 30.000.000 !
for a new testing device and a new simulator
in Milton Keynes. Big guns for big steps forward!

By the sounds of it that simulator is nuts too, the actual engine is physically hooked up to it and running in parallel and the chassis is on a chassis rig having driver's inputs actually simulated in realtime to give actual feedback on the car itself not just on a computer representation of the car. Its basically back to where we were with permanent testing all year around in the early 2000s only high tech.

How fitting is that!? RedBull-TagHeuer gets their first ever poll at the Monaco GP!

Now can they complete the deed with with another win? Fingers crossed, but Kimi is still my favorite "active" driver (no chance for him, given his 5 pos grid drop). Anyway, I'll be wearing my Monaco Gulf in honor of the race!!!

Apparently it was at Monaco last year that JCB wasn't really happy with what he was getting out of the McLaren partnership, a year later things seem to be going quite a bit better lol

Congratulations to Red-Bull/TAG Heuer for podium finish at Monaco, but it's a shame that pitstop blunder robbed Ricciardo of the top spot.

That blunder was horrendous! Poor guy, two races in a row that could have easily been wins. That's motor racing...

Looks like Red Bull has just re-signed Danny Ric for another two years, he was already in for 2017 so I assume that means he's locked in now through to the end of 2019 on a rumoured 20 million euro per year deal.

If that's true it puts him fourth in salary behind only Fernando, Seb and Lewis and well above the likes of Nico and Kimi. Makes it sound like Red Bull definitely have him pegged as their future title hope even though they've now got Max as well.

Congratulations to Red-Bull / TAG Heuer for podium finish on the Austrian Grand Prix.

Hamilton / Rosberg's rivalry has now transcended to legendary status.

^ Notice the youtube video down, FOM is taking down every youtube clip, Vimeo video, and even .gif images of their races or paddock events. Literally even 10 second clips are being removed and the posters threatened.

Thanks for the heads up; their crackdown is swift and steady.

This is just part of why Danny Ric's worth so much the Red Bull, you can't picture Rosberg doing that on the podium and getting himself and his sponsors on the cover of every newspaper just by getting a second place.

I think Max is starting to scare me a little, Daniel is known for being pretty chilled and zen like at all times but those moves on Kimi at Spa and the comments about running the Ferraris off the road in retaliation for turn one are a bit much. If you get away with it, it's really not smart to brag about doing it on purpose after the fact, even if you think you'll get away with it because it's only to Dutch media.
