OK, let's play! What's your favourite dial on a TAG Heuer? This might be the best texture, colour combination or something else that makes the dial stand out.

Forget about the case design, or the type of movement that the watch has- we're going to be totally superficial and talking only about the dial here.

Here are a couple of my favourites...you can see a theme!

The 2013 version of the Monaco GP. You can also spot a pattern, here.
I could add the Monaco Calibre 12, blue, dial, but then I would look biased 😀

Yes, that 300 SLR is something special. Here's an unusual one

You still miss it, don't you? 😀
Yes I do, and I'm still bitter about the price I sold it for compared to value now! Would have been my perfect watch if only it had been slightly smaller/thinner.

Tell me about it; this is what happens when you have your eyes on something else and need to flip (quickly) something from your collection.

Some great choices already!

Would have to agree with @imagwai that for the classical Carrera line, the design of the JH80 and its variants with leather straps, take the prize.

A close second would be the @elbeik's choice the 300 SLR.

Or the original 1887

Although the Telemeter's sunburst dial is a billiant, its glassbox dome & indented edge, detract from ideal proportions and angle legibility.

Colorwise, if the dial of the latest silver variant is as close to the picture as it suggests, it would be a close to perfect Carrera.

That said, I have a well documented weakness for Heritage Monacos. 😉

I've said it before, that is a brilliant modern design. I am torn between this variant and the titanium. Hoping to see both in the metal soon.

Some great dials there, a few I own myself, so I'm going to go with something a little different outside of what would generally considered a great dial - the Aquaracer 2015 Ceramic Bezel. The horizontal lines and how they catch the light looks great IMO, really lifts it and gives it depth.

Two of my favourites. The McLaren 1974 Edition really needs to be viewed under a loupe to really apreciate the enamel like finish.

The 1969 really blows my mind !

It sure is a fantastic design. I wish the newer Heuer 01 based models were more in keeping with this design. Slight evolution in dial design and the incorporation of the hollowed lugs and case edge were avant-garde enough without moving into Hublot territory.

The only good thing now is for mass market hublot now being perceived as overpriced tag heuer instead of tag heuer copying hublot. Of course it the exact opposite case for TH enthusiast.

I am personally a bit divided in this. i really like TH heuer 01 45mm. but yeah i wouldnt want it growing more and more into hublot territory. the 43mm is, in my humble opinion closer to traditional carrera.

The worst thing of heuer 01 45mm is that, its too plan to see the similarity with hublot. even for someone that doesnt know or follow biver. its a shame, because inside is our proud calibre in house movement. could it be the date wheel that giving such image of hublotesque ?

There was a second model due to be launched at Baselworld 2014- stainless steel Carrera 1969 with an anthracite dial.

That decision was changed and instead, we got the Carrera CH80 twins
