This thread made me paranoid and I've cancelled my pre-order for the 844.
Bezel pip looks OK to me. But it certainly looks like it's lived a tough life I'll admit!
Difficult to tell from that low light blurry photo.
But.. I mean would it be surprising if it was real and the index came off? Take for instance the glued TAG logo rubber thingy on some Carrera crowns, you have to count on them eventually coming off and you'll have to put it back with some super glue yourself. A bit more challenging on the dial though 😁
Or the connected bezels?
Again, I have beaten the hell out of my old quartz aquaracer and my way211 calibre 5, including a lot of time with power tools, driving machines etc. Still looks good, although the strap is getting a bit grubby.
Ah yes the Connected biiizels are badly glued too, forgot about those 👍
Yes I am sure many many owners are happy with and love their Aquaracers, I just wanted to share some insights and bring some attention to, what I consider, a terrible movement choice by TAG in watches that cost between 2500-4800 american dollares.
Ah yes the Connected biiizels are badly glued too, forgot about those 👍
No problem at all with the biiizels of my five Connected modules… 0 from 5 is not a bad ratio 😉
I guess it depends on how you take care of the watch, and the weather conditions where you live, but no problem here at the moment 👍
Agree. To be a real tool watch it needs to be anti-mag, anti-vibration and reliable.
So, quartz.
My steel quartz aquaracer has proven fairly indestructible. I will probably fit a quartz movement into my calibre 5 AR next time it fails
all of them had a problem with the movement (power reserve, blocked crown etc)
Very worrying history Virgile. Surprised you even considered buying another one!
