Did you take that photo? It looks superimposed. Or is it just the focus?

When are you expecting yours?

I just saw this picture sir! 馃榿 I like the tire rubber background with the Carrera on top. Feels very much motorsports racing watch of yesteryears. I鈥檝e already advise my AD if ever it will be available locally. Cross fingers 馃槈

Sounds good. I have mine on pre-order and am hopeful on getting it sometime this summer.

Can't wait to contribute to this thread again, I am getting bored of looking in my watch box. Think maybe I need to start wearing watches for 2-3 days at a time again....

I've decided that I'm going to start looking for a watch to pair with my current, long-term, never selling it, owned from new Tag Heuer 1000 Professional Automatic 844/5.

I look at all the modern TAGs, and the classic Heuer, and also bear in mind that my favourite watch of all time is the early (rounded) Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner (with or without the date and dimple), and I have decided that the watch I'd like to try to find is the 'negative' of my current 844/5.

According to the reference table here: http://onthedash.com/docs/DiveWatchRefTable.html - there actually isn't a 42mm, luminous face, black PVD 1000 series model. (Does anyone know different?)

The closest is the 980.031.60. The 'Living Daylights' Bond Watch (https://www.calibre11.com/bond-tag-heuer/)

So - I'm going to keep my eyes open for one of these:

However - because I think I prefer the 42mm size - I'll also be watching for the Olive 981.016 as an acceptable alternative:

I'm probably going to set myself a budget of approximately 拢1000 and wait for a seriously good one.
So far I'm watching Chrono24, but are there any other reasonably reliable sources I should be watching for a watch like this?
I love the full lume Heuer 1000's. Esp. the gen 1 with the thick case!

^ I would love to see a GMT Autavia or Aquaracer with this dial. I think it would be a real hit.

Don't forget it needs to be automatic.

The last AR with full lume dial only available in quartz 馃檨

Longines Heritage 1938 has been bugging me since the early 2020. Really really like everything of it. From the black dial. Small second. Manual movement, and the grey leather strap. My friend said it doesn't look good on the wrist though since it was too huge in proportion. I got now means of wrist testing at the moment it since the malls are still in lock down.

Another one is my long lost passion which never come to fruition, the Aquaracer Chonograph. Recently developed another itch for it. Maybe the side effect of long lock down and scrolling hand phone all day.

Arriving shortly. My first venture into the world of vintage Heuer. I have been on the lookout for a decent and well-priced one of these for a while. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, and it won't wear too big! My birth year is 1973, and this is either spot on, or 1972.

I almost bought the Longines in January. But I decided to wait since the TAG Heuer line up for 2020 seemed very promising. I was keen on the Autavia bronze... and then came the announcement of the Carrera 160th anniversary 馃檮...

Congrats. I'm curious as to how you'll find the size.

Based on previous experience with similar type of watches, I think the lug to lug size should be OK, but we'll see!

Nice! I love mine, but it sits in the safe. Not a scratch on it for 45+ years so it makes me nervous when I pull it out.
