I believe it is because the guilloche pattern is applied by hand ("main" = French for "Hand")
It never entered my mind getting a gold/gold plated watch. IMHO, it just feels old. Or it will only make me feel old 😵💫 Probably it’s just me. 😉 But it would surely be a different story if it’s a Heuer Carrera Gen2 for F1 champions 👍
Another new arrival, but this one is a loaner. Really like the dial- it's a much deeper blue that I expected. It feels "big"- still 39mm, but weighs in at 124g, which I expect will prove heavier than other Monacos, but I will test on the weekend.
Out of interest- and you can tell that I've just bought a set of scales- the solid gold Monza weights 109g
are there any other reasonably reliable sources I should be watching for a watch like this
