Nice, 2000 Exclusives are great fun!

I know. I've had a few but sold them. This one will probably be a keeper........until I find a blue dial WN1112 in good condition at the right price. 👍

Blue dial is my favourite, I picked mine up from eBay for about £225 IIRC. Mind you, the crown comes off, so that needs sorting out!

Yes, I think I see what you mean. I am not very experienced in selling watches. And sometimes I ask myself, If there is any chance that they somewhat keep their value. If you take the revisions into account, and the selling fees...
Yes I know that many collectors consider future value as an important factor. I have never sold a watch so for me it does not matter, as long as I love the watch 😀

I found this beauty, brand new, at a reasonable price... 👎 😕 I was in a similar situation to @Pitfitter446 but it was not so difficult for the devil on my shouder to justify the purchase against my sensible head 😒 🤨

After the initial fight, the devil insisted: “Sooner or later, being a Mercedes and TAG Heuer fan and loving this watch (which was ever in your wishlist), you had to own the TAG Heuer Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR CAR2112!! 🥰 Maybe you will not find it brand new again in the future, with full set and still with factory warranty...”
So I must buy it now, the devil wins!! 😉 ::psy::

Congratulations on finding a NOS version. The 300SLR is my favourite in my collection.

Now you don't need to use that awful digital version 😉.

Thanks!! 😀 I was in love with the 300 SLR since 2010, but I couldn’t afford it then... or maybe I was not crazy enough to spend so much money in a watch! 😁

I think this forum is quite “guilty” about my growing madness about TAG Heuer... and I discovered Calibre11 because of my TH Connected, so the Connected is also guilty of my latest TH purchases. In fact, wearing the -IMHO not so awful- Connected versions of the Monza and 300 SLR, increased my love for these two watches, now in my humble collection in their original versions 😀

Congrats!!! 👍
That's one of my all time favorites! TH had so many winners about a decade ago, around the time of their 150th anniversary, and the 300 SLR was definitely one of them!

One of the best parts of this forum is to watch collections grow 😀 you sure have added some amazing pieces during the last year or so! How long ago was it you bought the Senna S/EL by the way?

Agree! 👍

My first TAG Heuer was the S/el in 1996, and when I found this great forum in 2018 (because of the Connected Modular 45) I had just three more TH: the Micrograph, the Formula 1 Senna 2016, and the Connected... then it arrived the Calibre 16 mechanical module also in 2018, and four more in 2019: the Calibre 5 mechanical module, the 6000 Senna, the Connected Kingsman, the Monza Calibre 17, and many modular straps... what a crazy year! 😁

And 2020 starts with the 300 SLR... so when I found Calibre11 in May 2018 I had bought just four TH in 22 years, and after May 2018 I have bought 6 more TH in 21 months! This forum is very dangerous! 😁 👍

😀 I saw it when you posted a picture of your Carrera collection box! Nice picture! 👍

Yes, I’m loving the 300 SLR since 2010, when I had one on my wrist at my AD. It was not the moment then, but -sooner or later- it had to come home 😉... so having found this NOS one, now it’s the moment! 😀

I've never really liked Panerai, but that's nice - there's also a 'Regatta' version which is nice too - but very expensive.

My 300 SLR arrived today! ::psy:: 😀
Last time I saw one in the metal was nearly 10 years ago, and it looks even better than I could remember! 🥰 The pictures cannot show how nice it is!

It’s brand new and full set, so I took some pictures before removing the stickers and label

It’s so beautiful 🥰

It has a nice number of the Limited Edition: 2222/5000, and obviously I love the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR on the back case 👍

The dial sunburst effects are amazing 🥰

It has a CAR2112-1 number. Does anybody know the difference with the other 300 SLR with CAR2112-0 and CAR2112-2 numbers? Is it maybe the production year: 2010, 2011, and 2012?
