These are the watches I am currently deciding between. As usual when we get closer to Christmas I get more and more convinced that I should get myself a gift. My wishlist consists of very different types of watches and I don't really "need" any specific type of watch, this is purely by following what the heart wants. Which one would you guys choose and most importantly why? 😀

Is my brain telling me that it is insane to spend this kind of money on a watch? Yes. But at the same time, this hobby together with the community is something that brings me so much joy in life and one should enjoy life when we can right.

Have a nice weekend bromigos!
I think i might go with the Autavia...second would be Monaco. No Breitling this time ?

I still cannot decide if the Monaco is for me. Been swaying between the Calibre 11 (prefer then left hand crown) and 2 register dial. Tried on numerous times, just unsure, bug bare non in-house movement for the price, Speedy Pro Moon Watch or last gen Seamaster SMPc again in blue.

After a blue faced watch, mainly into 'diver' style watches - already own Panerai 560, Tudor BB58 and vintage Seiko Arnie. Never had a chrono and prefer a diver bezel for timing. The Monaco just looks so damn good, also tried the Bucherer Blue F1, great VFM just again unsure on Sellita, Spacer plate rumours and not keen on the bezel.

Thoughts? Thanks Brad

Since the Autavia is on the list, would you consider the Hodinkee Orange Boy? Although not strictly limited or numbered I do understand it's a special edition for a limited time only. Still available from their webshop and they pop up for sale on forums every now and then.

Would love to own that one! But... I can get the standard version for 4400 dollars from a reputable grey market dealer. I live in Sweden and the cost of the Orange boy would be almost double since the socialist regime running this country adds an additional 25% in "import tax" as they call that theft 🙁

I'd say that Monaco looks perfect on your wrist. And in my personal opinion, the one you're wearing there is the best modern iteration of the Monaco (and yes, I'm including all the special recent editions when I say that).

Agreed. If I was buying a Monaco, it would have to be LHD in blue

Thanks, I'm swaying more towards the Monaco, although still unsure of the iconic Omega Speedy Pro, Omega Seamaster or Noms Club. I know forum bias my sway this one haha

This being a TAG Heuer forum, most everyone will say the Monaco. It gets my vote as well.

I also own Omega and of the ones you mention, the Speedy Pro easily is my pick. But for me, Monaco > Speedy. The boldness and the cool factor of the Monaco just can't be matched by all the other "round" watches out there. 😉

Yes, I am wary also, but I can't really see a downside to trying. I certainly won't lose my money as it's held in escrow (plus purchased on credit card). If it does come through, then I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Well, that was disappointing (re Fragment Carrera)...

Ridiculous 😡
Was kind of expecting it. The price was too good also. But like I say, worth a try. 😀

That's a shame, sorry it didn't work out. But you know what they say about things that seem too good to be true...

Oh I know. I went into it with eyes open. On the plus side, it means mentally I've already paved the way for another watch purchase... 😀

Kind of sucks that so many sellers are listing watches on c24 that they dont have. The "available right now" status cant be trusted either because both watches I tried to purchase was listed as available.

Well well, good thing that you are now forced to find something else to buy 😉

Yeah, easy way to lure customers in. They clearly know nothing about the watches they list either. Of course they were very keen to try and sell me something else when they finally realized they wouldn't be able to find one.

What to do next then?... I'm finding myself very drawn to an Omega Speedmaster 1957 Trilogy if I can find one at a decent price. Or maybe a 38mm Zenith El Primero (although probably not, because I don't really love it in the same way as a Carrera or a Speedy). Or maybe I'll just wait and see what Tag do next in the reissue line. I'll certainly enjoy the hunt, which is the best part. 😀

I found another -smaller- TAG Heuer Connected display... so tomorrow I’m going to pick it up from a seller in Barcelona! 😁

After the 5x, TAG Heuer Monaco “decades” edition, i’m thinking of getting a “Black McQueen” to partner my Calibre11 Blue Dial McQueen Monaco 👍

Clearly on the rebound 😀

This might only be a temporary addition if TAG release any more Heuer 02 Carreras (that was the original goal), but have to say it's a stunning piece that may prove hard to part with.
