The movement is one thing (and it will be in a Zenith before it is a TH) but I would wait and see what the watch looks like first.

I'm not sure I would buy a watch just for the movement.

I have the Carerra Calibre 36 Racing edition (black titanium) now, considering the Monaco 24 Black (also Calibre 36) next.

I'm a little concered about the z-height but TH made it less top-heavy by redesigning the band. Thoughts?

That Monaco 24 was on my wishlist. They are now discontinued, so try to get one new, before they are all gone.

Beautiful watch, I really wanted one of those... the best Monaco 24 by far (although the Gulf Concept one is pretty cool too).

Better get the monaco 24 now like they all been said already. Its a dying species.

I used to owned similar case monaco, but in the end i still prefer the classic one.

    Thats my opinion.

Looks like this will be my next purchase guys. Tried it on today (sorry didn't have my phone on me so no live pics) and it looked awesome! I was originally looking at the new Sea Dweller for this was on my want list for this year but after trying it on and putting it next to my Submariner, I really can't justify paying close to $15k for something way too similar. The Pelagos is about 65% less and it's just plan unique!

Looks good. Interesting that the crown is on the left.

for left handed divers (LHD) or just to be unique or different- I might have to be resigned to setting it upside down (or the similar monaco's with a lefty crown) - it is a beautiful piece, love the blue pelagos too

Yea, according to the history, Tudor made this watch for French navy divers back in the seventies. They made these LHD Pelagos for those that were right handed. All I know is that when I go diving, I don't care what wrist my watch is on, I just need to come up alive and in one piece....

I almost bought a Pelogos until I read about problems with the crown grinding. Not sure if it was related to the new in house movement but some folks were dissatisfied with this issue. Hopefully those were outliers or Tudor has resolved the problem. These accounts were all with the blue and black in house models prior to the LHD that I am aware of but haven't followed the topic in more than a year. I know Rolex (not sure of Tudor) bumped their warranty to 5 years which should alleviate concerns if Tudor followed suit.

My friend has this watch, he's very happy with it, great lume. It's quite thick, looks chunky on his wrist... he jumped on it when it was announced for some reason, at least he got a sub 1000 number on the back!

Well the Monaco 24's gone out of the window and the Grand Carrera has gone off the boil for me as well... so I'm really unsure now. Maybe an Aquaracer....
