Congrats again @Hubert! How do you like it compared to your other Omega purchases this year? Do you have a favorite?

EDIT: I mean favorite out of Omega's new releases, because your recently acquired Ed White is an obvious choice.
Thanks! The new FOIS is the WOTY for me. This new pilot is 2nd, then the white "Craig" Speedy.

While I do feel the new FOIS is Omega's best release this year, I'm not sure if that's the one I would buy. If I didn't have the OG FOIS the new one would be a no brainer.

The Pilot and white Speedy are both quite different from anything else in my collection. I haven't seen the Pilot in person yet but worry that its long lugs might not be the best fit for my wrist size. The shorter lugs of the Moonwatch fit fine for me.

I have the original FOIS, and the new one is such an improvement. The new dial finish and domed crystal without the milky ring are superb. I've always wanted the Ed White, so when I got the call, I couldn't pass on it. Nonetheless, the new FOIS really sets the bar high for the rest to follow.

The size of the Pilot is on the bigger side, but nothing too crazy.

I hear you on the FOIS, it's truly next level over the old one. However, it's still basically a FOIS. I just got a chance to see the Pilot and I really like it! A very tough choice between the two for me, and I haven't ruled out the white Speedy either. OTOH, if that rumored new C11 Monaco Gulf turns out to be the real deal, that could be the one! 🤔

I actually just won an auction on something. I guess that counts for this year, but I don't expect to receive until after new year's.
Well what do you know, it arrived on the last day of 2024 after all. Which I think is appropriate, with 2024 being the 30th Anniversary of Senna. #Senna30 #RememberSenna #SennaSempre #SennaForever

An early issue S25.706C in very good condition. The definitive version worn by Senna, distinguished by only "200 METERS" on the dial (no "Professional") and the reference number above the logo on the case back. It's in all original form, including the brown strap and TAG Heuer Cal 251.251 movement. I was able to snag it off an auction for less than some plastic F1s go for. 😀

Thank you, Albert, Rob and Ben! 😍😍😍

I was actually searching for a spare ETA movement for my later version CG1123. But stumbled onto this instead on a Japanese auction site by luck!

I'm rooting for you! 👍
I'd also love to see you get that Monaco 24 Gulf you've been keen on for years! 😉

I don't know if I'll ever buy a Monaco 24. They are a lot of money and it's a long time since I've held one but I seem to remember they are hella thick. Would be nice, but I could see the Dato 160 blue being my last significant purchase.
