Congrats Bill. Hopefully eventually you will put it back on the rubber and learn to love it. 😜

Congrats Bill. I agree with Rob that it looks great on the rubber strap…however, it didn’t work for you and the nato you have chosen is a superb alternative. Nicely done.

I really wanted this one before I got my Orange Aquaracer, but I got impatient. Happy with my purchase, but the OG Solargraph is still something I would love to own.

Not likely to put it back on the rubber. The rubber comes off the watch at a sharp enough angle that it holds the watch case away from my wrist when the watch is centered. This make the watch want to sit far to either side, and just isn't comfortable.

Nope. It’s The Dark Side of the Moondowner.
Hmmm, I like that name.... 😁

That was actually the first thing that came to my mind too. However, I felt it was too much of an Omega cliche, plus this is not a Moonwatch.

How about the Night Downer? To use a TAG Heuer cliche? 😉

Oh yeah, it is very much a play on the Omega description, but…

I just ran with the “Sun”downer opposite being “Dark” as this one is black and links to the Dark Lord too.

Darth just doesn’t link to Sun in any real way. It’s only a bit of fun anyway.

Nightdowner works too.

Sunriser perhaps? Green lume smattered bezel being the suns rays breaking up the darkness as it rises.

That's a shame... but still, as long as you're happy with it. 😎

When I bought my titanium solargraph last summer, I looked very hard at the black one with the lumed bezel. The only thing that stopped me was the rubber strap -- it just doesn't fit me well. Then, after I tried a nato strap on the titanium watch, it occurred to me that a nato might work very nicely on the black one. So, guess what I did? 😜

Here's what arrived Thursday:

And the new strap arrived yesterday:

I found this on WatchGecko.com, and it looks like the same texture as the strap that came on the Sundowner.

Didn't take long to pop off the rubber strap and get the new strap mounted:

And here it is on the wrist:
Well done bro, this looks amazing on that strap. Killer greta combo you have now, wow!

Thanks!
Quite the collection you are amassing now!
Yeah, it is, isn't it. Might even have to start thinking about thinning the herd a bit, at some point. ::facepalm1::

Cool, is that why you were asking about the screws and pins on the 6000?

This Carrera is on the way. Looks like it is gonna need some gentle massage and love at the spa. I aint getting closer to a Ronnie Peterson gold type than this.
Ref. 110.515 CHN

Incoming. Model 266.006, circa 1987/89.
Unfortunately, no bracelet but I have a nice black leather strap I could use.
Curious about the case back. Anyone know what the X over the model number stands for?

On modern TAGs, the X would indicate a prototype. Not sure on these old ones, but it is a little odd that it has a Heuer on the caseback and TAG Heuer on the dial.
