Not exactly. I am intrigued by the costs involved, albeit not into vinyl, but was actually just rhetorically asking (in a joking manner) whether the Wife was aware of the cost when she showed enthusiasm. 😀
No point in telling porkies, we know the shop owner and she’d just ask him, but since I was getting it at almost the price it was traded in at I was keen to tell her how good a deal it was, new they start at £3.5k rising to £25k+, the vinyl itself is getting silly with albums selling at £30+, fortunately the hifi shop stock or will get requested vinyl in at almost cost as a way of keeping customers visiting regularly, good move.

vinyl players are cool. I got one for my birthday from my brother in law. The problem is I need a killer sound system with that as well which I haven't got time and resources to do it

I grew up with vinyl. Sorry but I don't get the fuss. Was glad to sell all mine and rebuy on CDs that didn't jump or crackle.

Right there with you. I did the same thing, and I’m still a CD guy (I like the physical product).

There’s something about a physical medium. I mainly stream for practically, but still use CD a lot.

I grew up with CD’s and was equally glad to get shot, release the space and stream whatever I like whenever I like, usually higher quality than CD too.

Ironic how we seem to have all moved on one step. 😂

It’s like moving on from Automatic to Quartz…

So is anyone actually planning to buy a watch this year? And by that I mean a watch that is a TAG Heuer, or at least not a Tudor?

Funny you should say that, based on recent purchase history. 😁

I filled my TH purchases last month. Latest purchases have been Omegas.

I hate to say it, but I've been far more impressed with Omega's releases this year. The white Speedy, FOIS, monochrome SMP, and Speedmaster Pilot have been killer! No wonder you've bought them all and then some. 😉

No new watches for me, for a while at least. I didn’t plan to buy the JH80, but it was too cheap to say no, after that I definitely wasn’t going to buy any more watches…then the Sundowner was launched.

I’ve still got a few watches on my list - Drive Timer, H01 Skeleton, 39mm Explorer, and a Tudor GMT. I can see myself buying a Drive Timer at some point when one turns up at the right price. I’m taking a wait/see on the GMT - hoping that they either release the BB gmt in a thinner case, a less gilt-y BB58 gmt or ideally a ceramic GMT.

I’ll be mildly surprised if TH release anything I want to buy..they haven’t had a good track record in the last few years.

Oh I saw one somewhere recently. May have been Watchfinder. Price was about where they are usually at, about $2200 US.

I actually just won an auction on something. I guess that counts for this year, but I don't expect to receive until after new year's.

The pilot arrived this morning.
Congrats again @Hubert! How do you like it compared to your other Omega purchases this year? Do you have a favorite?

EDIT: I mean favorite out of Omega's new releases, because your recently acquired Ed White is an obvious choice.
