I'll give it a go, ST 145022 / PIC 3590.50?

How did you guess? I’m not super familiar with speedys.

It's an '80s 145.022, probably a C.R.S. case.

You are both correct.
Pretty impossible to spot cos it’s a transitional watch with the b2 bezel and longs S and R Speedmaster print. So it looks like a 145.022 but is a 3590.50. Box & papers included.
Bernard’s watch is a later 3590.50 with the more modern print and bezel.

And that Carrera would look really, really nice as a 2-register

Maybe that's the problem, it's teasing you with two registers.... but just think. If it was two registers it wouldn't have a running seconds and you would never know if it was working

Yes but that's fine with me cause I don't have trust issues 😁

Very interesting, so I'm guessing it's dated 1989 or 1990?

Currently toying with the Cartier De Santos Large, just trying to decide between that and perhaps the Tag x WOS Panda collab

Makes perfect sense to add the must have Speedy on a Tuesday, congrats! I will join you one day soon as it's on my forever list. Sooo confusing for me with all these minor variations, but yours has a special twist. Which makes for a nice niche to have. 👍

Grandson just pulled the trigger on one of these(or similar), often thought about one like this myself.

The Cartier is so different to the WOS Carrera, I guess you just have to decide which one you like the look of best.

I'm afraid I've never liked the Cartier - looks more like jewellery to me so not my style.

Just got a confirmation that the transaction has gone through and the watch has been collected. Now the wait has started to March when I get this in hand. No.10 is here!!!! i was lucky enough to get a NOS for a 20% discount on retail, plus got the 5 years warranty since it got registered from March 2022.
