You can get one of these and still have lots of money left for that price.

I bought this Pateker to keep alive the mechanical module (Calibre 16 Chrono) for the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45.

I needed a quite horizontal turning base to hold the module alone, without straps, and I found this watch winder in Amazon (98€). It’s nice, carbon fiber leather style, good quality for the price, it works with batteries or electric plug (I’m using two 1.2V rechargeable batteries, and they last 10 full days running 2 minutes clockw. + 6 minutes stopped + 2 minutes anticlockw.). At the moment it’s working very well and the Calibre 16 module is always ready! 👍

I enquired with the AD today whether I should get a winder as my collection keeps growing and most don’t realistically last with ‘power’ beyond 48h. So keep having to manually wind and/or reset the time as I rotate daily. I asked is it better to keep them ‘running’ constantly or to let them ho idel and reset. This AD was an agent for both TH and Omega. And in the UK is also dostributor for Rolex, so one wiuld hope knows a thing or two. Advice I got was that so long as the mechanisms are getting a few days use a month that no winder is necessary. Personal choice for convenience, but even thiugh they sold them in the store I was advised to keep the koney to spend on more watches ::stirthepot::.

Thoughts?

Nice watch winder! My favourite brand is Kunstwinder. I think they have the most beautiful winders in the market, very different from the "box" design that most brands tend to build. I have one at home, and everyone makes a comment when they see it. A video:

Amazing bits of kit. But I could buy a White Gold Daytona for the cost if kitting out the fleet with 5x of those devices!!!!

Would be great to have the money to burn on a fancy winder like that. The oil rig one is so cool!

Would need to have some incredibly fancy watches to justify though.

For TH and regular Omegas it’d be like buying a gold kickstand for a halfords/wall mart by bicycle.

Very recent purchases

Handy little boxes those. Love the colour co-ordination with the gulf stripe. Nice touch.

"...designed, produced, and assembled in the United States..." That tells me all I need to know - cheque please! At least they got the name right ;-)

TH shop gave me the box with my watch purchase. Orange seemed to go better than the Dark Blue one

My TH “Modular Collection” has a new automatic member -the mechanical module Carrera Calibre 5- so I needed another watch winder for it 😀

I found (in Amazon, sent from Germany) this Boxy “Satin Carbon Expert 2 PRO” by Beco Technic GmbH (Germany), with proper angle to hold the modules without straps. Just some cutter work to adjust the watch cushions, and it’s perfect to run both mechanical modules.

This is from the same brand @Mr_Orange was asking in the previous post, but a different model. There’s also a version for one watch, and another for three watches.

It looks very well, and it feels strong. It has a main switch (ON-OFF) and two selectors for each watch to adjust three different rotations, and three different speeds. It can work with batteries (2 big LR 20 for each watch, that -unexpectedly- came included) or with the 110-230V adapter connector (included).

There’s is also a red led for each watch to show when the batteries need replacement (it should last 6 months with batteries, according to the instructions).

Very happy with the purchase! 👍

Cool setup all round. Congrats on the new addition. 👍
Thank you! 😀 Yes, I love how it looks with both modules, and it’s quite small (200x200x145mm)

@Albert-AMG woow looks really cool 👍
😀 Thank you!

Very nice Albert!
Thank you Hubert! 😀

I have discovered a new feature of this watch winder: it has a light sensor to count the rotations, and this way both watches are always returning to the initial/horizontal position when are not rotating. So it’s much better to display the watches. 👍

My previous -single- watch winder from Pateker always stopped the rotation in a different and random position.

Nice. My Kubik winders do that too. I wish my Wolf units had a stronger stop, as it's annoying to see the heavier watches go horizontal after winding.

I'm thinking of buying a winder for my father for his birthday this year, he has a Rolex and a couple of Omegas from the 60's that he loves to wear, but, due to him being very, very inactive (he has bad legs so tends to spend most of his time just sitting reading or watching TV (or sleeping!), the watches are constantly stopping even when he wears them.

If he had a winder, would it keep a watches 'powered up' enough for a day's wear after one or two days on the winder?

Could anyone recommend an easy to use winder (he's a bit of a luddite these days) that would suit this purpose?
