... and also buying my new Carrera (which I will finally get tomorrow on my 50th birthday).
Congratulations for both: your 50th birthday and mainly for your new Carrera! 😉 👍

Happy Birthday and welcome to the 50 something club! Nice occasion for a new Carrera!
But a Monaco 50 might have been more appropriate, as you're both the same age! LOL 😉

An enjoyable read! 😀

Here's a pic from my old 2001 E55 AMG in @Albert-AMG 's honor. (I loved that car, owned it for 11 years before selling in 2012.)
Yes, you can imagine how fast is the C 55 being 140 kg lighter than your E 55, which was already really fast! 🙄

And yes, I’m very lucky 😀: the C 55 AMG (W 202) was from the “AMG Specials” range (not from the standard Mercedes-Benz range), only made by special order to AMG. It was quite more expensive than the standard C 43 AMG, and only 59 were made (30 LHD, and 29 RHD), so it is very rare! One -or maybe two- of the 59 was the FIA F1 Medical Car at that time.

Very special car.

A mate had an incredibly slow diesel C class in that shape, it was a lovely car that made me want one

This last week's posts... including Albert's interview of course, and also buying my new Carrera (which I will finally get tomorrow on my 50th birthday).

Congratulations on your big 50! You may think it's not fun being this age, but it I'm sure it will be great!

Thanks! 😀
Yes, it was fun that you could buy that C-Class (W 202) from a 4 cil 2.0 diesel engine (75hp) to the V8 5.5 engine (347hp)... nearly 5 times more power! 😁

And these W 202 are really strong and reliable, they were still made to last for many years 👍

Thanks Mspeedster, yes a Monaco would have been more appropriate I guess... now I think about it. But I have upgraded from a green Aquaracer, so I can't really grumble!😀
