Nice write up, despite clearly being wrong. 😀

I saw the “wave” dial 42mm Aquaracers this afternoon. I actually like the new dial a little better than the “deck planks” dial. I also like the new size a tad better. But my biggest complaint is simply that I want a display back on my mechanical watches — if I’m gonna pay a boatload of money for one, I want to see that glorious mechanism.

Yeah, definitely. I think the black and green one has the same buckle too.... very poor. But then do you want a coated buckle on a 500M diver?

Yeah. Not sure about the pic I posted... thought it was silver, but maybe not? Pretty sure it did come on a silver buckle. Maybe someone put a different buckle on it? I'm sure all the ones I saw at Bicester were silver.

Do you mean for fear of scratching it during a dive if the buckle is coated? In a watch with a gold bezel that would not be my main concern 😁 😉

I think it would look better with the black buckle, so that it would be full black with gold 👍

Haha, yeah... that's a good point. Maybe don't make the bezel out of soft gold! But it looks great, and yeah it would look a lot better with a black buckle. 😁

‘Silver’ is the wrong word, it’s matte finished titanium with a polished TAG Heuer logo. Mine has polished on the edges of the clasp from brushing on clothes.

I quite like the distinction of the ’silver’ clasp, it’s a bit of colour on a black watch and is nicely finished.

The WAY night diver has a pvd titanium clasp, which is showing no signs of wear so far:

I quite like it. Looking at both side by side, I prefer the silver to pvd, but that’s more about the design and logo I think. Never really thought about it before. Same as the helium release being silver not pvd, never worried about it.

Oh yeah, never thought about the helium escape valve...

The WAY night diver gets worn a LOT. Probably ties with my bb58 for wrist time, maybe 30-40%, with a few vacations where I’ve worn it for a month straight. The watch is showing a bit of polishing on the corners but nothing on the clasp…maybe it’s plastic not titanium 😁

I think though... the gold one should have a black clasp, and a black helium escape valve
