I still think about that Ceramic Carrera Skeleton I toyed with getting, when we chatted about it after I had just joined the forum. Think it was around £2k at Bicester. A proper steal now, with hindsight on how the pricing has shifted.

Tell me about it. Lots of things I wish I had bought from Bicester.... some amazing deals to be had there pre-pandemic, and even post pandemic. But now it's very stagnant and the prices aren't as good.

Great post Rob, enjoyed reading the insights into how you feel about what you wear. Surprised the 01 doesn’t have a ceramic bezel, is it ally?

Add a steel dive beater and you’ve got your perfect three piece collection?

I kinda wish I had bought a 01 at Bicester. I kinda assumed they’d always be kicking around so didn’t bother…I still want one but don’t really want to buy used. Sure a skeleton Carrera will happen at some point

Of course they did introduce the ceramic bezel later, but the OG was not.

the OG is really the one that calls my name. It’s a case of ‘right first time’. The main thing that stopped me buying the OG is a mate daily drives that watch.. but then he moved to Seattle so we’re unlikely to watch clash

Y'see I already own several Aquaracers and really I love all of them, so it's up against some TOUGH competition. First of all there's the black PVD coated titanium WAY208C which I bought from Bicester Village (after a very long search in 2019), then there's my yellow dial Calibre S CAF7103 which I bought from Watchfinder back in 2018. That is probably my favourite Aquaracer of all, but there's also the stunningly cool Chronotimer CAF1010 which I also bought in 2018, this time from Parkers in Sheffield.

Oh yeah, and there's my grey dial quartz 500M WAJ1111 which is yet another 2018 purchase, and another watch that I wouldn't even consider selling unless I absolutely had to. Damn, this new model really is up against it... which perhaps explains why I feel like it hasn't really won me over yet. Don't get me wrong, I will probably give it an 8.5 or a 9 in the end of year polling, but these other watches are 9s and 9.5s all round (well certainly the WAY208C, CAF7013 and CAF1010 are.. the WAJ1111 is great but not quite on the same level).
Your black PVD WAY208C is probably my favorite out of your Aquaracer collection.

The precision of your calibro cinqo is splendid. I am also very happy with mine which performs steadily at around +5 sec per day.
