Yeah, I think I would have been way more passionate about it, had I not owned the Ice King 160th first. This is pretty much the exact same watch, but with some black subdials. Also, this is the most expensive watch I've ever bought, which also added a little guilt and killed a bit of enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong though - I do love it! I've just been spoiled previously. 😀
I guess I'm fortunate to have not been spoiled in that way. My enthusiasm for the 60th is pure unadulterated joy! 😁

That's one of the reasons I've never bought one of the newer Gulf Monacos. While there are aspects of the newer ones that I like better, I don't think the excitement of getting a slightly nicer version will ever exceed the way I felt when I got my first Monaco Gulf over 10 years ago.

In hindsight, I possibly should have praised the watch a bit more. I do love it. But as you point out @Mspeedster, it's a watch I was already intimately familiar with apart from the black subdials, so maybe difficult to muster quite the same excitement you felt.

Maybe you should have done an unboxing video with your hands shaking and muttering 'Oh my God' over and over again like some Tik Tok idiot?

Exciting news, now that we've got the Panda out of the way we can get onto the super exciting COCO post for the ladies Carrera Diamond... yay. Look for that after midnight.

Another good read, even if the watch isn’t as interesting as others of late. I particularly like the final comment from the COCO crew.

Thanks Ben, yes that member can always be relied upon for a good quote.

Well somebody had to do it. Although this guy hardly sounds like he's doing cartwheels of joy either.

Finally, the one you've ALL been waiting for.... well maybe Albert. 😁
Nice article! Thanks Rob! 👍
Precisely today I’m wearing the Micrograph 😀

BTW, when the Micrograph (later Microtimer) was launched, David Coulthard was said to have been involved in the design of this watch (or maybe in the way the stopwatch works, including a lap by lap register and 'Best Lap' function). Did you find anything about it during your research?

Hi Albert, no I didn't come across anything about that...

I found something here (but the complete article is only for suscribers):

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2003-04-14/the-formula-for-success#xj4y7vzkg

And also here:

https://en.worldtempus.com/article/tag-heuer-sport-source-of-inspiration-14354.html

In that Worldtempus article is also explained that the Micrograph -or F1 Micrograph- was (I guess initially) sold only at the Paddock Club of the F1 GPs (mine was a present from my boss, bought in an AD in Barcelona, so some Micrographs were sold outside the Paddock Club):

So there’s a strong connection between F1 and the Micrograph, later Microtimer 👍

😒
If you had a son, he would get a TAG Heuer for his birthday every year! Who are you kidding 😉

My daughter got a TAG for her birthday, which one I don’t remember, might have been 18, or 21? Far too long ago to remember, or care. Read on another forum where a guy sent a son money for his b’day, he bought an AR15 rifle! US based though.
