Great post @Aquagraph . This is the first year I was really torn on WOTY, amazingly between two 42mm h02 Carreras. The WOS looks great, but it’s the Porsche that had me reaching for my credit card

Thanks Rob and well done. A deserved winner. I expect this panda dial in the glassbox will score even higher next year. Great to see the 160th remains no 1 for now. The black Monaco didn’t quite live up to the expectations of some although I think the score is fair.

The Carrera H02T Rainbow/Polychrome was the surprise for me, getting more WOTY votes than the Dark Lord (& Red Heritage Carrera & Monaco Gulf). Shows that this forum is more diverse in our tastes than some might think. (Or it's those forum outsiders that Rob invited to vote.)

Actually, it was three full time COCO members who voted for the polychrome.

Yeah, I'm sure next year is already decided!

I was surprised how well the H02T Rainbow scored. I suspect the Dark Lord tribute scoring shows many members felt it wasn’t as well executed as it could have been.

Would you be surprised if I told you the only reason it got two votes was because two 'guests' voted for it?

I am completely out of the loop on this rumoured piece. Can anyone fill in the blank's?

Heh yes that is surprising. Maybe shows how strong a year it has been?

What a great article sir Rob @Aquagraph 👍 Very detailed and comprehensive! We have alot of TAG Heuer offerings this year and certainly made us think about (and reach out to) our wallets. ::rimshot::

The DL Monaco really made me think of pulling the trigger but I have too many “all black titanium ones” already 😉 The Titan Monaco is also great but it looks very similar to the CAW211B Vintage 😉 The WOS Panda vs a Panda Glassbox Carrera will be a close call so we will see 👍

Wuuuut, 4 of the top 5 in the scoring for 2022 were 'elegant' big 42mm thick Carreras 😲 Great to see that the forum is now loving bigger sizes too 👍

2022 has been a killer year for TAG Heuer, so many awesome releases in one year!
But what happened to the Autavia, this was supposed to be its year?
Instead the Carrera Elegant crushed it! The WOS, Porsche RS 2.7 and the 'not' JH90 were all contenders. I also really liked the Bamford x Ruf x TAG Heuer Carrera, which for whatever reason Rob didn't include.

Ah yes the RUF. Cool watch as well, athough I suppose you need to be a Porsche and RUF enthusiast to fully appreciate that one.

If you recall, when I reviewed it I said 'thankfully it isn't an official TAG Heuer release so it won't be included in the WOTY'.
I just feel like if we try and include everything Bamford do, then I'm not sure how we'd keep track... the line has to be drawn somewhere.
For me the line is drawn when there is no new part number, this is a customised watch, the part number is CNB2011-0 which means it should have a blue dial but they added the -0.

I never read that blog post, so its omission seemed curious, especially as the Bamford AquaRadar was a favorite of yours and included in the 2020 voting.

Makes sense. Having a new part number is a rational way of drawing the line.

I think clearly the RUF watch is a Bamford watch, the Aquaradar was on the TH site and in TH boutiques and it had a unique part ref.

As you know TAG Heuer part numbers start with C or W not O

It is without question a Bamford customized watch. But it is still also a TAG Heuer.

True, I dunno... it's a grey area. I suppose it could be argued that it wasn't a one off so it was more of a proper release, but to me it's definitely more Bamford than TAG, whereas the carbon Monaco and the Aquaracer were collabs between Bamford and TAG.
