Really enjoyed this read, @Aquagraph and @Jim Dollares. It was great to hear all the reasons why Jim feels so strongly about the Ice King. I also noticed that my experience with the 2022 red Carrera’s clasp is similar.
Yes, great article, always happy to read about this watch. The clasp that comes with it is crap - it opens when you press just one of the buttons whereas you should need to press both at the same time. Fortunately, there is a much better version that TAG sell - looks the same, but fits 3mm thick rally straps instead of the 2mm croc strap that comes with the watch. This version feels much more sturdy and won't come undone as easily.
not helping! @Jim Dollares I thought the forum had agreed the BB58 was the most perfect and beautiful watch?
Well the fiddy eight is just a side pleasure for me. One to keep me young, adventurous and fun. Will never beat the feeling of what I got at home, each night going to bed next to my beautiful ice king.
Great article and thoughts from you bro @Jim Dollares ! Like you, I also tend to "baby" the Ice King / Silver 160! Yes to me it is "perfect" and with it comes along all the imperfections one might say, but to me, this is legendary classic style and retro-modern as it can be. Thanks TAG Heuer and cheers to another 160!
Yeah, it's a hot bed of positivity. But it can be a little dull, if the post rate picked up it could be really good
It used to be quite busy over there several years ago. But it got less so when Calibre11 became the 'go to' place.
