Lovely. Really works.
Thanks, I tried 7 straps so far, excluding the croc, this comes out on top, depends on mood. Keeping the BoR for a later time, when it's not so mint anymore 😉

Agree, looks soooo good 👍

Is the strap some kind of cool exotic animal skin?

Supposedly grained calfskin, the poor thing.

Looks great, mind sharing where you purchased it? Also where did you source a BoR from?

Both the BoR and strap are Dan Henry. You should have those 😉

Atelier Romane has one near identical but 105 euro is pushing it.

Congrats DC. Worth the wait!
Thanks Charlie- sure is. Having worn the new Aquaracer over the weekend, it’s another reminder that for me, 39mm is perfect

This is definitely one of the best modern Heuer out there. 👍
It's really nice. Was thinking about how 1/2 were available in Japan the other day and went back to the Hodinkee site:

https://limited.hodinkee.com/tag-heuer/

"Half of the 250-piece run are available today with complimentary, worldwide delivery from the HODINKEE Shop, and the rest will be available at TAG Heuer brand boutiques in the United States and Japan."

To my international friends, any observational insight here? Vintage Heuer seems popular in Japan, Hodinkee has a Japanese sister site – so I get both those factors. But I skimmed through 4 articles this morning and "Japan" is only listed at the end of where to buy.

Any other connections? Is the Dato design popular in Japan, or is this just for retail availability by splitting up planet Earth into 2 chunks? If so, doesn't that make it challenging for our European friends?

I ask because the Japan part seems like an afterthought aside from the "half available" part. Seems odd if that's just it, but looking to see if anyone can expound.

I think it has to do with the Hodinkee offices. They wanted to release their LE in both locations. The terms of the deal with TAG Heuer are probably that you need to include the boutique network.

Ah, then it doesn't sound as cool as I hoped.

It was certainly not easy to obtain one over here, let alone at a reasonable cost. It’s good to have friends in the West 😉
