How would this look on the 39mm glassbox case with 19mm? I wonder if anyone in the forum has this strap you just got and the 39mm glassbox Carrera to try it out for us... hmmm
I could, but I know that an 18mm strap on a 19mm watch won't work that well.

Maybe one could find a 19mm strap that tapers to 16 and buy that awesome pin buckle?

I was already on the hunt for this look, have a 3rd party strap coming. If I'm not mistaken, the 16mm TH "Heuer" pin buckle is FC1042. I was hoping @imagwai could confirm.

Unfortunately there is no part number on the buckle. I actually have two of these now - could potentially be up for selling one of them but will need to think about that.

Regarding the strap, it looks like FC8090.

B buckle?
Actually, it does have a 'B' on it. But that can't be the part number surely?

B buckles were introduced by TAG Heuer for the ‘90s Carrera re-editions. They are issued every now and then on Heuer by TAG Heuer watches, including the C11 Siffert Autavia. Stocks of these floating around. I bought a nos one about two years ago. They’re great for fitting to aftermarket straps for recent or vintage Heuers. I noticed that Monaco being auctioned at Philips Watches on Saturday is on a blue racing strap with B buckle, not a sun buckle as one might hope.

OK thanks, I learned something there.

So I just reach out to AD and say I want to order the B buckle?

Well it's back again. Seems to be keeping better time than before but need to time it over 24 hours to really see. New strap is very nice to have, but will probably be kept in the box for now as I like my deployant clasp.
Looks like they gave you a NOS strap and buckle that was supplied with the re-editions. Quite valuable, best kept with your watch I think.

Can you share a photo of the B buckle?

I don't think so. I have a 18mm "Heuer" branded buckle which also has the B. My AD is checking on the part number I gave before for the 16mm, I'll let you know if it's confirmed. I need to get a 16mm for my new straps.

That would certainly work. Plenty of good custom rally strap options (e.g. https://glcstraps.it/)
Yup, that's where I got mine. My straps just arrived. I posted pics in the Hodinkee Dato 45 thread: https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...e-carrera-dato-45.127687/page-39#post-1781173

The one on the brown strap is the original B buckle from the nineties. These are fetching over 150 euro these days. The other with the modern B is the newer edition, this one also came on the Siffert. Don’t know what TH charges for these but Stewart Morley charged me £35 extra for the new B buckle. I’d love to know what these go for these days. Would like some more 😎
