Yes, it was similar beforehand - one of the reasons I sent it in.

Oh well, it's going back to TAG again for them to have another go. I've already waited 3 months so can wait a bit longer for them to get it right I guess.
I'd definitely send it back. Very unacceptable! 馃檨

I don't know why most of authorized Tag Heuer service center refuse to do calibration in the first place.

I used to own a Heuer01 45mm and i sent it to SC for calibration and they told me my watch was accurate at +10/day, i was like yeah can i pay you like USD100 (equivalent) to make it at most +5/day ? they don't want to do it...bummer !

I suppose this is the issue with movements without any manufacturer guarantee or certification for precision. Is there any official info what so ever from TAG about the precision of the H02 or will future service mean I get it back with a +-10 to 30 sec per day isch...

If i am not mistaken it was still within their spectrum. Of course i don't have the manual book anymore but maybe it was something like -6 to +10 ?

But my point is, if i want to pay for a service to make it more accurate, why can't they do it ? I mean if it wasn't an in house movement i definitely go to independent watch repairer and have it calibrate, pay for the service, and done.

TAG do publish accuracy standards on their website. When I spoke to them yesterday, they agreed +40s/day was outside their tolerances and they are sending me a shipping kit to take another look at it.

Yes I understood your point bwoah. The manual doesnt say squat about how precise the watch is, I looked through the whole thing recently when Charlie got me obsessed with precision of my watches

https://faq.tagheuer.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/What-is-an-automatic-movement

The accuracy of TAG Heuer watches depends on several factors, including the type of movement and conditions of use. The following list shows TAG Heuer average tolerance given by the Swiss movement suppliers (based on normal conditions, and full power reserve for automatics):

Quartz movement: between -1 and +11 seconds per month
Standard automatic: between -5 and +20 seconds per day
Chronometer: between -4 and +6 seconds per day

A TAG Heuer watchmaker can carry out a maintenance service to adjust the timing rate of an automatic movement if it is performing outside these tolerances.

Thanks bromigo!

So this means -5 and +20 seconds per day for the H02 then.

Wow okay, but for +20 or more i think my Swatch is doing far better job than that.

Yes, I think TAG could do a lot better than this. At least for the "in house" H02.

This means that they can just say that everything is fine and within spec if you complain about your newly serviced watch being +15 sec off per day

My Carrera 360 is COSC but after I got it back from the date change issue I'm struggling to even get below +6s in every position (no position with a loss) although fully wound an wearing daily to keep power reserve topped up. I prefer to balance timekeeping with gain/loss instead of hacking every 10 days.

Probably going to request regulation with the positive being it doesn't need to go all the way to TH HQ but Pforzheim (DE).

Just got an email from TAG. They have regulated the watch, tested it, and it's on its way back with a complimentary new strap. Fingers crossed this time!

Will send some prayers your way, might sacrifice a banana to the silver gods too, just for extra luck.

Wow, extra strap is a nice touch. I tried to officially purchase the strap before, it was expensive. In the end i didn't do it.

Well it's back again. Seems to be keeping better time than before but need to time it over 24 hours to really see. New strap is very nice to have, but will probably be kept in the box for now as I like my deployant clasp.

That was fast! Very cool strap and pin buckle, nice bonus!!!

Do you know the part numbers for the strap and buckle? I didn't realize TH made this style. Is it 19mm at the lugs?

18mm tapering to 16mm at the clasp. Sorry but I don't know the part numbers offhand.

How would this look on the 39mm glassbox case with 19mm? I wonder if anyone in the forum has this strap you just got and the 39mm glassbox Carrera to try it out for us... hmmm
