The ability to do things like this is just about the only reason I would ever have to buy the 'connected' watch, and unfortunately it's not enough of a reason to justify the cost!
About the cost... in the case of the Connected Modular 45, if you also buy a Carrera mechanical module:
then the cost of having the watch with two modules (the mechanical plus the smart one) is only about €400 more than that of an equivalent conventional Carrera (Calibre 5 or Calibre 16), just mechanical.
In that case the smartwatch module is costing you just €400, and those €400 difference give you a lot of entertainment and fun
😉, in addition to the modularity and variety of accessories and straps available, which doesn’t exist for the conventional ranges...
And if you buy the two mechanical modules (I’m not counting the Heuer 02 Tourbillon module from
@Snowy 😉, which is in another price league
🙄), then it’s more economical for you than buying two conventional Calibre 5 and Carrera Calibre 16 Carreras, because you are sharing lugs, straps, and buckles with the Connected Carrera. The most brilliant idea and advantage of this watch is its mechanical modules. But if it’s not complemented by a mechanical module, then yes, only as a smartwatch it’s not cheap...
