I'd rather that TAG Heuer take a few design chances (let's face it, the Silver 160th Carrera is not going to offend anyone) rather than try and please everyone.

That's fair. You're right the silver model is certainly not going to offend to anyone but it is a tad dull. I guess we have each end of the spectrum with these two models, so maybe there will be some infill models that are not as conservative as the silver dial but less garish than the Montreal dial.

Look at how slim and clear that looks! All 160th Anniversary reviews I've read subtracted points for how tall they are.

Yeah, the height of the 160th is one of the negatives for me. They really need a manual wind H02 to make such a watch slimmer.

·I believe the vintage Carrera (depending on which movement) is 12.5mm thick. I measure the new watch at 14.7mm thick. To me, that's not a huge difference.

·I believe the vintage Carrera (depending on which movement) is 12.5mm thick. I measure the new watch at 14.7mm thick. To me, that's not a huge difference.
But for some controversy and excitement you could report it as 12mm and 15mm and then say the new watch is 25% thicker!
How is that for some sensationalistic journalism? 😀
