NATO is the easiest thing to replace; a plethora of options on the after-market. All below the 50$ mark. Way below.

Yes, I'm thinking of getting a Telemeter strap & deployant for mine

Is there a a ‘special’ strap for the Tele?

I ask because mine has the same (what I think/refer to as a standard strap) as my Monaco and Carrera. Plain black leather, black stitching and a standard heuer deployant. I call it ‘standard’ because it seemed to be the exact same strap that came with all of the Heuer Heritage models I have puchased.

Nothing remarkable about it - or am I missing something.

A black leather “rally style” perforated strap would be my choice for this nice watch, so related to motorsports 🥰

Yeah; I like the NATO the best too.

Is it a high-quality NATO? For instance, have you ever tried on an Omega NATO strap for comparison?

Instead of buying an expensive Fragment NATO to scrub, you should try some of the new crop of "seatbelt" NATOs, all priced between $10 and $40. Try BluShark for thicker, stiffer straps; CheapestNatoStraps is a good middle ground in my experience; or PhenomeNATO for thin, super-light straps.

Seconded on BluShark. Great NATO straps.

I got the "Alpha Shark" model which is way too thick for me, but have been thinking about trying one of their standard-thickness straps. But my vote goes to CheapestNatoStraps - it's a pretty nice material, lots and lots of color options (unlike most of the other purveyors of seatbelt NATOs) and they're freakin' $9. Dangerously easy to load up on too many of them...

I have a genuine Omega Bond Spectre NATO awaiting its watch in the future. I'll compare the quality once the Carrera arrives.

I've tried a few different brands, but not the ones you listed. Thanks for the tip!

Telemeter:
Deployment buckle FC5049 - $115 USD
Perforated leather band fc6353 - $110 USD

I really want a Seamaster 300 MC (not the 007 LE, though I'd love to fit the lollipop hand) on an Omega NATO too.

So far, of my limited forays into seatbelt NATOs I think the CheapestNatoStraps offering is closest to the Omega.

Good to know on the NATO.

The regular 300 Seamaster is great, however I still haven't given up hope of getting a NOS 2nd-hand Spectre.

Is it me, or does the Fragment look bigger?

I think there’s a tiny bit of perspective at play which would accentuate the Fragment and the glass box seems to ‘magnify’ the effect. But I think it is an illusion. That’s a nice mini collection either way.

Yes, it suppose this could be just an optical illusion based on perspective and proximity to the lens.

I checked my junk folder this evening and there was a mail from TAG advertising this watch. I was surprised that I could go to the tag website to order it, expected it to have sold out already.

The mass email was sent out a few days after its introduction. In the US, the first batch was sold-out in about a day. A second allocation was provided due to the demand, but it has also now sold-out.

For those interested, try clicking the BUY button to see if there are any left in your region. If there aren't, then the best bet would be to contact your local TAG Heuer boutiques, to see if they have any available to sell.

I got the email too. I tried to add the watch to my shopping cart on the UK site a few days ago and was able to do so (was just curious, not serious). Not sure about now. I wonder if the high price is putting some people off?

I also received the email. It was the email that alerted me to the sky high price in Australia.
