Must be. But there's only one strap I'd put this watch on. The black rally with Heuer deployant clasp.

It looks like the factory leather strap is thin to accommodate fitting into the bund strap. A chunky modern strap would fill the lug space much better than how it looks there.

Interesting that the calipers indicate 19.08mm.
Is it really 6/8 of an inch instead of 19mm?

Yes, I thought about this as well! I want to see the NATO and alligator straps first, before I commit to a final solution.

On a related note for anyone else interested, the original replacement straps for this watch will be:
Alligator strap can be only be purchased without the Bundt cuff and will cost $335 USD.
NATO strap will be $145 USD.

I also ordered a new Telemeter perforated strap and deployant clasp today, plus a spare of the Frament NATO strap that I plan to scrub to remove the applied FRGMT lettering.

Well, if you can't scrub that FRGMT off, and you don't know what to do with 2 FRGMT Bond Natos, you can send one to me and I'll try to put it on my Aquaracer (20mm lug with), or on my 70ies Certina DS2 (18mm lug with) 😀.

I am going to to scrub the FRGMT wording off the spare NATO. I intend to keep the original one intact, in case I ever decide to sell the watch in the distant future.

Looks better on the nato than on the leather I reckon. A standard canvas strap would make it look slimmer on the wrist.
