Strap for Monaco

I've just paid a deposit on the Heuer logo Monaco CAW211P.FC6356

I want to keep the original band rather than wear it.

Can anyone recommend a compatible similar looking quality band?

Or has anyone purchased a replacement band for this watch?

You can either have a custom strap made, plenty of craftsmen available at reasonable prices.
Else, you can go the Hirsch route.

Check out Watch Strap World or Watch Gecko. Both sell straps that are compatible with your original clasp.

I bought a CAW211P last year and had the same thought. I bought 3 spare straps from TAG Heuer. They came in individual sealed bags and look precisely the same as the one on my watch. Same leather, sheen and texture. I left the one on the watch and have kept the others in their bags. The decision now is how I look after the spares. Leather needs to be nourished over the years, but if they're in the bags, I can't apply cream them. If I open the bags, something doesn't feel right opening a sealed strap. I suppose I'll get over my ocd and open them to apply nourishing cream.

In my eyes, the original strap looks correct and the quality is superb.

3 spare straps is a record. I would keep them in a zip bag out of direct sunlight or heat and would not mess with them by applying the cream. If the one you are wearing begins to show signs of stress, I'd experiment with that one to verify the effects. Good luck

Yes Hubert, experimenting on the used one on the watch would be a wise move. I'd use Collonil 1909 cream. I've used this on other fine leather items for years and it's excellent.

They are in their bags, which have vent holes pre-punched and they're in the dark.
