Now the big question, does anyone know where to source the leather bands with links? I was quoted an obscene amount in the AD in Sydney!

What price did they give you?

Anyone have a suggestion re a leather band?
I purchased a replacement strap for mine many years ago, IIRC the price was less than $200 USD. I wish I could help you, but I can't recall where I got it from, it was some on-line AD in the US.

I recently put my original leather strap back on, because I like the vintage patina on it. But I'm also keeping the newer replacement, otherwise I'd offer to sell it to you. Sorry.

Thanks so much for your response and totally understand keeping a spare!! I have been looking at the internet this morning and there is very little to no replacements on the market. I'll just keep looking!
Best regards

Great to see an other S/el fan! With a lot of patience I found a new bracelet and a spare movement.

I've actually got 2 of them, 1 in English the other in Japanese. But both were bought with the watches new, back in the '90s. Your best bet is to setup a notification in eBay, it may take a while but with patience and persistence you might find one.

Posting the instructions again. Let me know if you can't see them.
Just purchased one of these, watch only. Started pressing buttons the moment I received it and the watch went haywire until I could track down this manual.. I felt compelled to join group to thank you for posting the entire manual. You saved my life, bro! lol

Thank you. Just found this site and these instructions are quite useful. Had my S-el on two tone (silver and gold) since 2001, and was trying to find a manual for CG1123

thanks - MC

Hey, this one is actually my picture of my watch and my stand! 😀

Is the Senna model *ONLY* the one with this leather + link bracelet, or are others (all metal link bracelets) considered Senna models as well. Listings on EBay suggest the latter, but wanted to check, as enthusiast sites such as this seem to have more complete information.
Thanks - MC

Info much appreciated as well.
Have owned my Tag CG1123 since mid 2001,
and recently ran into issues with one of the display complications. My repair guy tells me getting replacement parts is pretty pricey.

Appreciate the info and the images of the manual

It depends upon how technically accurate one wants to be.

The CG1123 is the same watch, regardless of whether it's on a bracelet or leather strap. But Senna only wore his with the leather strap. So technically I feel that is the Senna model. Having said that, there's an argument to be made that the bracelet version is too, because one could easily swap the bracelet out for the leather strap.

If one wants to be even more technically accurate (or anal), Senna wore the s25.706c not the CG1123. TAG Heuer changed their ref numbers scheme, so the CG1123 is basically the same watch as the S25.706c, but with a newer reference number. Hence both are called the Senna model. However there's a few small differences. The CG1123 added "Professional" to the dial and the case has a very light brushed finish. The S25.706c only had "200 Meters" and the case finish lacks the light brushing.

Here's a side by side of the two. (Pic courtesy of @Snowy)

Appreciate the information . Thanks

then there were a few later Tag chronos that had Senna markings - one had them on the bezel and another on the dial face IIRC. Don’t know that Ayrton actually wore these or if these were more tribute models
