damn, that sux mate. weird that your watch has scratches on it brand new.
seems to me like this is an issue with the reseller mate. they may have sold you a demonstration or preowned piece. you should send the watch to a Tag repair centre, show them your proof of purchase and ask them to investigate the scratches and the reseller.
imho, Tag are quite good when it comes to warranty claims (altho it does take a while for the warranty & servicing process to be completed).
as for the software issues on the watch, this is a known issue that can be resolved by a hard reset & re-pairing of the watch to phone. I've had to do the same thing with my last update as well. this issue is more with Android Wear 2.0 than the hardware itself.
Lets hope you can get your issues resolved and you can start wearing & using the watch as it was intended. cheers
Tag couldn't fix it , but they replaced the watch head, works perfectly now and the battery holds up ok

Sorry abeverat. It’s just my opinion and I didn’t set out to offend. It’s a high ticket item I agree with clearly a ton of profit built in. Has anyone had a look at the Mont Blanc summit perchance. That’s also a high ticket item and virtually the same thing, with a Heart rate sensor for around £700. If you like the TAG that’s great. I just got really tired of mine being a dog.

Tried it on and looks very nice. huge miss was the no NFC. honestly don't need heart rate monitor in a non sports watch but do use NFC for payments all the time.

Good point. I did use the nfc on mine and it was about the only thing I miss.

good to hear that Tag replaced the main watch face & that you have a Tag 45 that works as intended. Cheers for the update mate!

People who get it scratched is not the watch’s fault now is it?

It’s like I bought a new BMW and while taking it home a cyclist scratched it as he tried to stop at a red light next to me and used my side to slow himself down with his arm but while doing so also let the metal paddle a little too close to my car which left a long scratch from rear door to the front one ... was only a kid, what was I supposed to say to him? Or do I go to bmw asking why their paint or metal didn’t withstand a bike? Or perhaps I should have gone and vented in bmw forums I guess or something like that ...

Anyway, it’s just a watch guys, more important things in life to worry about than a little tech or connectivity failing every now and then or a little scratch on something ...
solid point there!
luckily for @Emex , Tag replaced his scratched bezel under warranty. I assume BMW didn't replace the scratched doors on your new car tho?

Scratches seem like wear and tear, but the one where the bezel fell off seems like a valid warranty claim!

If the Summit was waterproof, I would have snapped one up.. Unfortuantly its not 🙁

Mine has never come totally apart but sometimes the clasp piece pops a bit and I have to push it back in a bit (the piece with Tag Heuer on it). Also, I think you have the bands on backwards...isn't the point of the main clasp supposed to face you when wearing it??? Maybe that is part of it??

I've had that happen too -- but if I insert it perpendicularly, slide it in, and turn 45 degrees, it locks in and everything is good.

I have a different rubber watchband, and swap a dark blue with the original black, no issues if you lock it down.

Hello everybody! I just purchased my TH 45 Connected this past Saturday. I was having battery issues hardcore. It would drop 30% in an hour and a half. I took it back, got another one and am having the same issues. Thinking it might be a software issue, I tried to update the watch. It seems like it is trying to work for a little bit but then gives me an error. I Googled the versions and the current software seems to be from 2 years ago. I will include them below. I have paired, unpaired, factory reset the watch (twice), installed, uninstalled, and re-installed the Android Wear app...I'm not sure what else to do. I am using an iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 11 installed. I really want this watch to work, but not feeling very optimistic right now. Thanks in advance!

Android Wear:
1.3.0.2430191

Google Play Services:
8.2.99

Android OS:
5.1.1

Even the old software had WiFi and Bluetooth settings. Please search for them under the Settings function.

Let me begin by saying that it looks like you have an original Connected (46mm), not a Modular 45mm.

Secondly, these don't look like the complete settings to me. Granted, it's been a long time since I've used version 1.5, but there should be some WiFi and Bluetooth options somewhere in there.

Here's the official FAQ:
https://faq.tagheuer.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/How-do-I-update-my-TAG-Heuer-Connected-with-the-latest-Android-Wear-operating-system/?l=en_US&c=TAG_Heuer_Connected:Software_updates&fs=Search&pn=1
How do I update my TAG Heuer Connected with the latest Android Wear™ operating system?
To update your TAG Heuer Connected with the latest Android Wear operating system, please:
  • Make sure your phone has internet connection
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
  • Make sure your watch is paired with your phone - if you’re within Bluetooth range and see a broken cloud icon servlet.ImageServer on your watch face, your watch and phone are not currently connected
  • Make sure your phone has at least 80% battery power
  • Place your watch on the cradle to charge it - it will automatically begin searching for a new update
  • Go to settings > system > about > system updates

If there’s an update available, a notification will appear on your watch face. Follow the notifications on your watch to install the update.

Hate to say it, but have you tried resetting the watch back to the factory settings?

Otherwise, have you tried opening a Support ticket?
