I retried on the Green Seaweed (Master) earlier comparing it to my Monaco. On the rubber it wears lovely. Tempting

Saw that on bracelet there too. Very nice!

Was in the AD earlier, collecting my Aquaracer, and tried on the Breitling Navitimer in Ice Green on Bracelet. My was that thing beautiful and fitted my wrist absolutely perfectly. No idea if I could get a good fit when resized, which is important as it’s a butterfly clasp, but certainly wanted to take it home with me. I would probably also get the alligator strap and deployant anyway, but would want a solid bracelet for if I was ready to pull the trigger.

Looks so much better on wrist, but has no time to go and grab my phone to snap a photo.

I have a 42mm SOH on rubber with the deployant clasp.I love the clasp but wish I'd got the mesh bracelet.
It's a green un too.

Tried both on, but that pesky Seamaster bracelet is a no for me

I honestly have no clue why Breitling downgraded the NT clasp from fold-over to butterfly. Since the links are pretty long AND there are no half-links (IIRC), finding a good fit must be pretty much a lottery now…

I could never get my head around the slash cut angled bracelets they do, but hands on is something else in fairness. Actually loved it in hand and on wrist.

Do like the SOH too. Was close, but ended up choosing the Seamaster.

We’re all different, but I just love the Seamaster bracelet. Nothing I don’t like about it.

I had it in my head that it used to be different, so thanks for confirming.

I am pretty sure I saw a half link on each side earlier. Still a lottery though, I agree.

Omega just raised prices again, as of July 1st I believe. Don't know about other regions, but in the US the Seamaster went up a few hundred. The NTTD went up $500, now at $10K. I'm glad I bought mine last year, when the price was still at its original retail price from 3 years ago.

Omega seems to be a bit delusional to me!

They can raise their prices all they want, IMHO it doesn’t really change their standing in the marketplace. Best proof: The prices for Omegas in the second-hand market hardly follow those of new pieces. At least for those still-in-catalogue pieces I keep a distracted eye on…

Yep was looking out for these increases in the UK, so far the 2nd increase hasn't happened. But expect it will do for the Autumn period. Crazy that the Sapphire Speedy will most likely be an £8k watch soon - definitely doesn't feel like it when I had one

Louis Vuitton repositioning themselves, entry level should now be 20k and "all of the other watches within that collection will go away".

That's cool and each to their own, I like the faux rivits on the BB58. Guess it's the lack of taper that my puny wrists cannot handle. Otherwise I'll go bracelet

Minus the RRP, but guess non watch guys & girls who spend loads with LV could be interested in. The watch is impressive, looks nice - until you see the branding on the side of the bezel - yuk!

It worked for Richard Mille
I suppose LV moving upwards means that other group brands get more room to follow? Where will entry level be across the group? Hublot 18k, Zenith 14k, TAG Heuer 10k? Will be interesting to see

LV have made some cool watches in the past. I saw one in a magazine that I really liked, but at the time I was green and didn't appreciate the cost of watches.... was shocked when I found out how much it cost. I mean, I should have guessed really, I knew it would be maybe up to 10k but it was way over that.

Absolutely. It’s all personal taste and we all accept that.

Ironically, those faux rivets are something I don’t like. I have to admit that they aren’t as bad when on the wrist but still not something I want on a watch.

There’s plenty of room for differing opinions and tastes. 😀
