Glad I'm not the only one who's found the FXD MN tough to get ahold of.

However when the P39 was announced, that became a no brainer over the FXD for me given its bracelet and size. If it's ever released in blue, I'd be very tempted indeed.
You are not alone for sure - and I can generally get whatever I want from my guys but not that.

the 39 is a very different watch. In many ways they can co-exist but the 39 is much more versatile obvs - I love mine.

but I will say having tried it, that I get the hype on the FXD (for once). It’s a great watch and wears really nicely + thin. I’m going to be interested to try the new ones on and then decide which one is next - but I reckon it will be a pelagos FXD of one sort or another.

Nice comparison video of the new FXD RB and original FXD MN.

That’s definitely not helping me avoid temptation. 😉

I don't think anybody has mentioned the Only Watch one-off Tudor Prince Chrono in 18K gold yet, have they? Am I the only one thinking this is a real surpise and an amazing piece. If Tudor released this a stainless steel version, I think they'd have a major hit on their hands. I mean I'd probably buy one no matter what. But would be too much of a rival to the Daytona possibly so I suspect the chances are slim. What a tease, though.

They already did in the 90s, the Prince Chronograph:

Am I on my own in really liking this?

Outside what I would be prepared to spend but noticed it recently and think it’s proper cool.

Titanium, Tantalum and Gold. Dial is Titanium too.

No, I really like that too

Surely they have their rival to the Daytona with the current BB Chronos?

Never been a fan of a 12,9,6 chronograph. Visually they look unbalanced

Didn’t Charlie own one of those? The panda?
Yes, I did - a big block panda. One of my biggest watch sale regrets 😀

Yes I know, but a modern version would be very popular now I think.

Yes, they already have the BB chronos, but these are clearly Black Bays with the snowflake hands, and have 2 subdials rather than 3.

Teak dial Aqua Terra looks the best to me, but it looks a tad on the large side at 41mm. Otherwise, the SMP 300 is the winner.
Agreed on all points.38/39mm is the sweet spot for the AT imo but I still wouldn't say no.

Maybe. That gold one is 42mm though BTW, rather than the 40 of the original.

Possible a tad large but I guess lug to lug dimension will be the clincher

Tried the new Tudor gmt opaline dial on today. Having previously decided I didn’t like it at all from pics, in real life it’s a bit of a stunner. If it was in the new profile case, I’d have bought it on the spot. As it is, I’m thinking about it. Very nice actually…..

Doesn't it bother you that the gmt hand is too long on these?

I reckon it looks cool.

Even cooler is that it can time travel to the 19th. Now that’s what I call proper dial time zones. 😀

No, not really. It’s not enormously different to the gmt I already have. I guess it could be a smidge shorter, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me

how legible was that? I like the look of use opaline, but worried creamy hands on a creamy dial will be hard to read

Very legible in reality - one of the shots was static in the sun. As with all these things a slight move of the wrist and ultra legible as the light catches the hands.

All in all - very good. I’m going to pass, as just about every 41mm Tudor I’ve got rid of as the case is a bit of a brick, but certainly promise for the future as they roll out the new case across other lines

Tried on the new Breitling AVI 42mm yesterday. Really nice and slim to boot. Think one of these may very well find its way into my collection at some point, it’s that good!

Was in the AD earlier, collecting my Aquaracer, and tried on the Breitling Navitimer in Ice Green on Bracelet. My was that thing beautiful and fitted my wrist absolutely perfectly. No idea if I could get a good fit when resized, which is important as it’s a butterfly clasp, but certainly wanted to take it home with me. I would probably also get the alligator strap and deployant anyway, but would want a solid bracelet for if I was ready to pull the trigger.

Looks so much better on wrist, but has no time to go and grab my phone to snap a photo.
