·It's been this way ever since the OG BB58 debuted in 2018. You can walk into most ADs today and buy a BB58 now, but for the first few years there were waiting lists galore.
Not every Tudor is like this, but certainly the hot ones all have a waitlist as soon as they're announced these days. But unlike Rolex, it's not as hard to "get the call", could be a few days or weeks or many months. In the past year, I've been on a wait list for the BB Chrono, BB Pro and Pelagos FXD. I've gotten the call for all of them in a relatively short time. Except for the FXD, been on a list for that one at two ADs pretty much since it was announced, and have yet to get the call.
Seems many people call their ADs as soon as any new Tudor is announced and get on a list as standard practice. You pretty much have to be on a list these days to get a hot Tudor release. Doesn't work that way for TAG, unless it's a LE.
Had to wait a year for mine on the OG BB58 release. Didn’t mind too much as there was lots of hype. Just meant the watch ordered on the birth of my child turned up just after she was 1.
