It's been this way ever since the OG BB58 debuted in 2018. You can walk into most ADs today and buy a BB58 now, but for the first few years there were waiting lists galore.

Not every Tudor is like this, but certainly the hot ones all have a waitlist as soon as they're announced these days. But unlike Rolex, it's not as hard to "get the call", could be a few days or weeks or many months. In the past year, I've been on a wait list for the BB Chrono, BB Pro and Pelagos FXD. I've gotten the call for all of them in a relatively short time. Except for the FXD, been on a list for that one at two ADs pretty much since it was announced, and have yet to get the call.

Seems many people call their ADs as soon as any new Tudor is announced and get on a list as standard practice. You pretty much have to be on a list these days to get a hot Tudor release. Doesn't work that way for TAG, unless it's a LE.

Had to wait a year for mine on the OG BB58 release. Didn’t mind too much as there was lots of hype. Just meant the watch ordered on the birth of my child turned up just after she was 1.

I can see this becoming the defacto Pelagos, with the old one cast aside like last years pants. Maybe it will be deleted then brought back as the Pelagos 42 or the Pelagos Xtreem Deep Water 42 or something.

Exactly what happened with the BB58. You’re literally the only person to try on a regular Black Bay in the last 3 years

Thinking/hoping it was a 58 😁

So what you're saying is actually that the Black Bay is the cool one because it's rarer. Interesting.

I just looked at Black Bays on Chrono24, there's like 6 of the Harrods ones on the first page!

Looks very nice! 👍
I think it's another home run for Tudor. Anyone who wants a serious diver can buy its bigger brother. But this one checks all the boxes for those who just want a nice quality dive watch in a smaller size, I really can't see any fault with it. Other than it being somewhat derivative of the Rolex Submariner, but then so many watches are. And it's a modern day Tudor Submariner in its own right. Its biggest competitor is probably the OG BB58, which has an edge in its vintage style appeal for me.

I called 2 AD today and both said they don't have the Model yet. I just asked to be called to come in and buy one when they arrived.
They both said I'm first on the list.
The Pelagos 39 will slot in very nicely between your BB Chrono and BB Pro! Excited for you mate! 😀

This seems to be the thing, it's not a small Pelagos, it's the Tudor Submariner you're never going to get.

How have Tudor made this watch look 'pretty', it's bizarre. Also when he's holding it between his fingers it looks like 27mm or something.

I think Ulysse Nardin is very underrated. No one ever talks about them, but I tried on one a few years ago and was very impressed. They do have some hideous watches but the Diver Chronometer (seriously, they couldn't think of anything better) is rather nice.

I always quite liked the look of this, the UN Le Locle Diver. The fact it’s so conventional looking in comparison to their other stuff is what makes it rather interesting to me.

As Aquagraph says, I have terrible taste. 😀

It's kind of like the Hublot Classic Fusion.

Bear with me.

It's the Hublot for people who don't really like Hublot. If you see what I mean...

You omitted the one with fauxtina (which also happens to be the nicest imo, not that I'm a particular fan of faux vintage lume) 😀

Hell no, that looks silly.
