Agree on the price on my wrist & people knowing. Possible caveats would be a new Speedy or Seamaster for me.

Unless you hang out with watch nerds, very few people will notice. I’ve worn my 40mm Explorer every day since I got it last month and nobody has commented on it…not once. My MoonSwatches seem to have garnered the most interest by far!

The Explorer is a fantastic, fantastic watch, for what it’s worth.

Don't say that, I'm due to pick up my new BB36 this weekend or next!

Early birthday gift finally fitted. Took the plunge tonight and had to cut the rubber strap eeek!

Correct rubber strap (smaller depth) spring bars sourced from Tudor, original BB58 end links used (springs sit slightly loose inside).

Must say I'm liking the look, gives it a more sporty vibe, feels as light as it does on the OEM nato, but fits the case better.

T Fit clasp I feel is going to be a game changer, especially when it gets hot (if this summer ever starts).

looks good on rubber! Is that the strap from the GMT?

Especially since pretty much Speedy (Pro) looks the same.

Really would love another 3861 sapphire sandwich.

There’s a few I fancy, the two register black dial ceramic and the white dial look good, although I really want my bosses pre-moon if I could ever convince him to sell it.

Not helping! The 39mm Explorer is the one that got away, I’ve been avoiding trying a 40mm in case I buy it.

From the BB54 - priced up at my AD, worked out to £470 (strap & clasp) then managed to source one on eBay, haggled a bit and got for £335.

I did enquiry if the BB58 GMT one was a straight fit, but was told their was a slight difference, (although doubt it)

Nobody seems to notice any of the watches I have. Only us watch folk notice so buy what you like as we are far and few. If I see a nice watch on someone while out and about and comment on it, usually we have a nice watch conversation but no "oh wow is that a -----" from anyone, ever...

But there is a difference between people casually noticing your watch and criminals out to spot robbery prospects. Those spotters will immediately notice a sports Rolex on your wrist.

And not stopping there…

I like this one myself, but wouldn’t pay over RRP, ever.

Every year they make a slightly tweaked version but it’s usually naff, but this version is probably the best one they’ve done. Being a cyclist I have considered one in the past but they’ve been poor, although this one is more tempting, just to wear for 3 weeks every year. lol

It kind of made sense more when there were other bike elements, in addition to just the tarmac dial. They’re just trying to make it obvious I guess.

Might have been better just doing the TdF logo on there maybe, which is on the caseback, but then others would criticise that.

I gotta be honest, the weather is too good to care for cheap Tissot shitters
I wouldn’t know, being at work unlike some. 😀

My belated 40th birthday watch was picked up on Saturday!

After purchasing a silver dial Tudor Glamour Date for my partner a few Christmas's back, & every time she wears it, I want a silver dial watch.

Now being the fussy watch person I am, no date was required, needed lume (thanks eyesight and toddlers who don't sleep). nice smaller size 36mm ideally as this was to be a semi smart watch in my small collection, water resistance to at least 100m, bath & pool time duties required & a on a bracelet.

With that above not much was available. Almost picked up the 'Grey Man' Carrera 39mm, many times (but date & calibre5 movement were the cons).

Hello forum favourite Tudor, well almost, dial is classed as light champagne and as you can see below, certain lights a slight hue can be seen.

Managed to pick up the last one in the WoS/ Goldsmiths UK stock, & also due to 'maybe my birthday/ overall spend' at the AD got 6% off. Overall very happy.

The only other watch I was potentially consider was a 36mm Rolex Explorer, but the RRP was too much for me currently and I knew I'd still want the silver-ish dial.

Only tweak I'd like would a greater taper on the bracelet, this is 19mm-16mm I believe. 5 link is lovely and t-fit clasps great.
