I’ve never been a fan of Pepsi GMT’s, probably because of the uniqueness of the GMT master in airport lounges around the world
Oh yeah, I hate that one. The gmt hand is too long so it looks like a blind person designed it the way the hand goes outside the minute track scale thing
The BB58 GMT is the hit of the W&W show for me. I like it a lot more than the Pro, the slimmer case is a big plus. Not sure if I'd pick this over a Pelagos 39 if they made one in blue.
Surely a blue Pelagos 39 is coming. The GMT 58 is great. However I’d choose the Pro if going that route. Think it has some good quirks & not a fan of the GMT 58 colour way. I also don’t find the Pro too thick. The BB Monochrome I think is great on the jubilee. I personally want to see if the rubber strap from the GMT will be a direct fit to the OG 58. Safe to say absolutely nothing released makes me want to spend my money. The less said about Bremonts releases and rebrands (Stone Island & Kickstarters come to mind). Although their new SuperMarine in black reminds me of the Aquaracer WAY2110.
The problem with the BB Pro is it's too thick and slab sided for me. They've slimmed it down with the new Coke 58 GMT. If they were to slim down the Pro, it would be a tougher call, but I still think I'd go for the Coke bezel.
The fiddy bay gmt looks pretty damn sweet in ABTW's photos (except the gmt hand which clearly is too long for this dial, I suppose they used existing parts from another model) https://www.ablogtowatch.com/hands-on-tudor-black-bay-58-gmt-watch/
I’ve been at The Wing today, fascinating Bremonts plans for the future. Outside of the logo change and perceived jettison of the brothers ideals and design evolution, it’s given me a greater understanding as to what is and will happen. I’m not saying I agree with the last few months and WOW launches in their entirety, and certainly pressed with my questions, but I definitely have a better understanding as to what they are (and have to) do to survive and thrive. Great facilities they have and I had a great few hours there.
Good news: The Bund arrived this past week. It's great! Bad news: Now I want a vintage Heuer 1550SG 3H!
Been eyeing this one for a while & been on the fence. Managed to try one on recently (randomly in John Lewis Bluewater). Decided if I can get one cheap enough I'll go for it. Was toying with some 'make offer's on eBay, when WatchNation offering it for £198 from the RRP £300. Yes I know Seiko are on discount often, but thought for that price why not, (plus an additional £4 cashback via Quidco. Quick photos whilst I'll decide, very reflective & I want to get it in normal daylight to decide if it's readable. Also it needs a black nato for some contrast. Initial thoughts, where's small, but god damn its reflective. Not usually a fan off day dates, but think this one looks good, lume isn't great (1st Seiko diver for me that's done that). Has some nice retro vibes, need the Nato on to decide if it's a keeper. Though the pics show the bezel off, it isn't in real life think just the angle.
